Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water is a Version 3.9 event banner where you choose three six-star Arcanists from a nine-character roster. Every six-star you obtain on this banner is guaranteed to be one of those three, with equal chances for each selected character. The first ten-pull costs only five Unilog, but that discount isn’t a guarantee of a six-star.
The banner opens on 1 December 2026 at 10:00 GMT and ends on 17 December at 09:59 GMT. Unlike Ripples on the Water, it does not promise one specifically named six-star and its separate guarantee counter expires when the event closes. Here’s how to make your choices and what you should know before spending.
Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water dates and eligible six-stars

Bluepoch lists these nine possible six-star selections: Ulrich, Corvus, Igor, Marsha, Barcarola, Aleph, Lorentz Butterfly, Charon and Recoleta. You select three of them from the banner menu. They form your personal six-star result pool for the event, not a guaranteed bundle containing three free characters.
The official clock is 05:00 (UTC-5) on 1 December through 04:59 (UTC-5) on 17 December. That is 10:00 GMT on 1 December to 09:59 GMT on 17 December; the corresponding end is 10:59 CET in Central Europe and 18:59 JST in Japan. There is no Boon summoning before that December start.
How the three-character guarantee works
For Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water, select exactly three eligible six-stars. When a six-star result appears, Bluepoch guarantees it will be one of those three, and states that each selected character has an equal chance. You cannot force the next six-star to be one particular member of your chosen trio under these published rules.
This isn’t the same as receiving all three characters. You still need summons to produce six-star results, and multiple results can reflect the banner’s odds rather than supplying every selected unit. The official release summary doesn’t specify whether you can revise your chosen trio after confirming it, so consult the live event Details before assuming the selection is reversible.
Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water: the five-Unilog first ten-pull
The first Summon x10 on this banner consumes five Unilog instead of ten. It’s a one-time introductory offer tied specifically to Boon of the Water, not a permanent discount for subsequent multis and not a reduced price on other Version 3.9 banners.
Compare that with Ripples on the Water 3.9, whose first ten-pull costs seven Unilog. Ripples lets you choose one target and uses a different one-time first six-star guarantee. If one particular unit matters more than a choice among three, don’t pick Boon based solely on its cheaper opening multi.

Does Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water pity carry over?
No. Bluepoch says this is a time-limited event banner with its own independent guarantee count. That count is not shared with other banner types and will be cleared when Boon of the Water ends. It doesn’t carry into another Boon event or into Hedone, Narcissus or Ripples.
That’s a major difference from the published Ripples rules, where same-type banner guarantee progress can carry into a future Ripples event. If you’re saving summons to use late in December, read your current counter and the live Details page before committing. Unfinished progress on Boon should not be treated as a future credit.
Who should you select for Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water?
Choose a trio you would genuinely be happy to receive. Because the selected six-stars have equal chances, making one good pick and two characters you don’t want is risky: a six-star can be any of the three. Think about the roles your teams need, the Arcanists you already own and whether duplicates would actually help you.
If you’re targeting a single older character instead, compare the eligible options on Ripples first. For new characters, see our Hedone and Narcissus banner schedule. Reverse 1999 Boon of the Water is useful when several names from its nine-character roster appeal to you, not as a guaranteed way to claim one exact character for five Unilog.
