Last Epoch Omen Windows: Timeglass Fragments and the Oracle

Last Epoch Omen Windows are random encounters in Last Epoch’s Campaign and Monolith of Fate. Step inside one, defeat Fractured enemies while staying inside its ring, then kill the Omen when its shield drops. Rewards can include Timeglass Fragments, which you can spend in the Monolith of Fate, along with Runes of Corruption, corrupted gear and Idol Altars.

The ordinary version has an easy-to-miss rule: leave the ring for too long and the encounter fails. Greater Omen Windows, found at the end of Omen Echo Chains, work differently. Here’s where to find each version, what you need to do during the fight and how to use the Timeglass Fragments you earn.

Where to find Last Epoch Omen Windows

An Omen Window can appear in Campaign areas from Chapter 2 onward or within a Monolith Echo. Approach the strange window and enter its area to begin. You don’t need a quest from an NPC, but there isn’t one guaranteed spot where it appears every time.

How to complete an Omen encounter

  1. Step inside the window and stay inside the ring.
  2. Defeat Fractured enemies to fill the progress bar. If you leave the ring, return within 10 seconds to avoid failing.
  3. Once the bar fills and the Omen loses its shield, fight the Omen itself.
  4. Defeat it and collect any Timeglass Fragments and other loot.

The Omen is invulnerable during the first phase. Stay inside the ring and kill Fractured enemies until the progress bar fills. Leaving the ring starts a 10-second countdown; return before it reaches zero or the attempt fails. When the bar fills, the Omen consumes the remaining enemies, becomes vulnerable and attacks. Defeat it to collect your loot.

Last Epoch Omen Windows rewards

Possible drops include Timeglass Fragments, Runes of Corruption, corrupted equipment, Omen Idols and Idol Altars. Higher-tier encounters feature tougher enemies and more loot. The game doesn’t promise the same set of drops every time, so treat the reward list as possibilities, not a checklist you’ll complete in one window.

RewardPurpose
Timeglass FragmentsCurrency for the Oracle and Greater Omen rewards
Runes of CorruptionPossible item reward
Corrupted equipmentPossible gear reward
Omen Idols and Idol AltarsPossible Omen rewards

Think of Timeglass Fragments as the currency tied to Last Epoch Omen Windows. Bloodrage Charges from Rage of Morditas are different: they are spent on items and rituals after Blood Crystal encounters. You can’t use Bloodrage Charges at the Omen vendor.

Where to spend Timeglass Fragments

Take your Timeglass Fragments to the centre of the Monolith of Fate. The current Last Epoch support article calls the vendor the Oracle, while the original Shattered Omens patch notes call the trader Apophis. Those are conflicting names in official material, so the Monolith location is more useful than searching for a separate vendor elsewhere.

You can also use fragments at the Timeglass Core after a Greater Omen Window. The core lets you spend fragments to generate an Echo Chain of your choice, or shatter it for additional fragments. Pick the chain when you want more Monolith objectives, or the fragment reward when you’d rather build up your currency.

What are Greater Omen Windows?

A Greater Omen Window sits at the end of an Omen Echo Chain in the Monolith. It has tougher enemies during the opening phase and two Omens to defeat during the second. Unlike a regular window, it doesn’t fail when you leave the ring; the entire Echo is your battleground.

If you’re looking for the Timeglass Core, complete the Echo Chain until you reach its final Greater Omen Window. Ordinary Campaign windows don’t provide the same end-of-chain choice. The Rage of Morditas guide covers a separate seasonal encounter, not an alternate route to an Omen Core.

Last Epoch Omen Windows after patch 1.5.4

Patch 1.5.4, released 5 November 2026, removed Giant Weathered Statues from the enemy pool for Omen Windows and added a light emitter to the encounter. Neither change removed Omens themselves or altered the basic two-phase fight.

Patch 1.5.3 also fixed Omen-spawned enemies not granting Weaver’s Will progress. If an older guide says those enemies never count, that information is out of date. The current encounter rules still begin with the Fractured waves and end with the vulnerable Omen.

How Last Epoch Omen Windows differ from Morditas Blood Crystals

An Omen Window has a shielded Omen and Fractured enemy waves, with Timeglass rewards at the end. A Rage of Morditas Blood Crystal has a timed kill phase and a Gauntlet of Blood and Ice, with Bloodrage Charges to spend on the reward board. They appear during ordinary adventuring, but they’re two different systems.

For that other system, our Bloody vs Frozen Ritual guide covers gear targeting, and our Blood and Ice Forging Potential guide covers the crafting benefits. Neither ritual is needed to complete Last Epoch Omen Windows.

Quick answer for Last Epoch Omen Windows

For Last Epoch Omen Windows, stay inside the ring during the regular fight, clear the waves and defeat the Omen. Take any Timeglass Fragments to the Monolith vendor, or complete an Omen Echo Chain for a Greater Window and its Timeglass Core. Remember that the Greater fight involves two Omens, but doesn’t punish you for crossing the arena boundary.
