Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance is a new Season 5 Unique two-handed spear with one especially important drop rule: Eleventh Hour Games says it can only be obtained from the Pinnacle Morditas encounter, God of Bloodshed. That means the normal Morditas boss and ordinary Rage of Morditas reward boards cannot replace the pinnacle farm if this spear is your target.
The signature effect on Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance changes how health leech behaves at full health. Instead of your active leech ending when you fill your health bar, it can remain available so that recovery resumes as soon as incoming damage takes you below full again.
How to get Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance

To get Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance, you need access to the God of Bloodshed. Start with Rage of Morditas Blood Crystal encounters, where monster kills contribute toward the seasonal Woven Echo chain. Complete that chain and defeat the normal Morditas boss.
The normal boss awards Demigod’s Ascendance. This Woven Echo is the route into the pinnacle version, but it cannot be placed until you reach 400 Corruption. Our Demigod's Ascendance guide covers that requirement if the Echo is in your inventory but still unavailable to use.
Once it can be placed, enter the Woven Echo and defeat Pinnacle Morditas, the God of Bloodshed. Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance is exclusive to that encounter, so repeated pinnacle clears are the relevant farm.
Can Morditas’ Vengeance drop from normal Morditas?
No. Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance is specifically identified by Eleventh Hour Games as a God of Bloodshed drop. Normal Morditas can participate in the broader Season 5 reward structure, but the spear is not listed as a standard seasonal boss reward.
That distinction matters because two other variant Uniques can appear from Rage of Morditas rewards and also have a chance to drop from both normal and pinnacle Morditas. The spear is not described that way. If you are farming standard Morditas hoping to see Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance, move your progression forward to the pinnacle encounter instead.
What does Morditas’ Vengeance do?
The defining property of Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance is that your health leech does not end just because you reach full health. Normally, leech can be wasted when there is nothing left to restore. With the spear, the accrued recovery can remain ready and begin healing again when your health drops.
Eleventh Hour Games also notes that effects tied to ongoing leech can continue while you are at full health. Their example is an effect that lets health leech drain the nearest enemy, which can keep operating instead of switching off at the top of your health bar.
This makes Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance especially interesting for builds that already create large or frequent leech instances. The weapon is not simply adding another healing stat. It changes the timing and persistence of the recovery you have already generated.
What builds can use Morditas’ Vengeance?
Because Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance is a two-handed spear, the first question is whether your class and skill setup can make good use of that weapon type. The second is whether your build generates enough health leech for the unique effect to matter consistently.
The strongest value comes from combining regular damage output with leech that would otherwise be cut short when you return to full health. Overkill damage leech and effects that interact with active leech are natural mechanics to examine when theorycrafting around the spear.
Do not treat the unique effect as permanent invulnerability. Stored or continuing leech still depends on the leech you generate, and large incoming hits can exceed the recovery available. Defensive layers remain important in the God of Bloodshed content where the weapon drops.
Is Morditas’ Vengeance worth farming?
Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance has a clean niche rather than being a generic weapon every build needs. If your planned setup uses two-handed spears and already cares about health leech, its ability to preserve leech at full health can remove a normal inefficiency from the recovery loop.
If your build barely leeches, cannot use the weapon type effectively or relies on a shield, the unique property may be less valuable than another weapon. Paladin players testing the new shield-focused spell should read our Last Epoch Radiant Lance guide, because that skill normally requires a shield unless you allocate Cloudless Sky.
The farming cost also matters. You need the full seasonal progression route, normal Morditas, Demigod’s Ascendance and the 400 Corruption gate before you can repeatedly target the correct boss. Last Epoch Morditas’ Vengeance is therefore an endgame chase item, not something expected from early Blood Crystal activities.
Once the route is unlocked, keep the target simple. Farm God of Bloodshed, not the normal boss or crystal board, and evaluate the spear around persistent leech rather than treating it as a general Season 5 drop.
