PUBG vehicle trunk capacity increases in Update 44.1, giving the Van, Pico Bus and Food Truck brand-new 300-capacity trunks. The Coupe RB’s trunk grows from 100 to 120, while several vehicles also get more health and tougher tyres.
If you regularly carry spare ammunition, healing items or other squad supplies, the larger trunks give you more room without adding anything to your character’s backpack. The numbers below are storage capacity, not the number of inventory slots.
PUBG vehicle trunk capacity chart for Update 44.1

Three vehicles gain trunks that weren’t available before: the Van, Pico Bus and Food Truck. Each has 300 capacity. The Coupe RB already offered storage, but its capacity rises from 100 to 120. These are trunk storage values, not extra backpack capacity for every passenger.
| Vehicle | Before update | After 44.1 |
|---|---|---|
| Van | No trunk | 300 |
| Pico Bus | No trunk | 300 |
| Food Truck | No trunk | 300 |
| Coupe RB | 100 | 120 |
The Van, Pico Bus and Food Truck now offer the same 300 trunk capacity, three times the Coupe RB’s original 100. The Coupe RB’s increase to 120 is useful, but it doesn’t turn the smaller car into a cargo vehicle.
How to use PUBG vehicle trunk capacity effectively
Trunks let you move supplies out of your character’s Inventory and into the vehicle. This helps when carrying additional ammunition, medical items or supplies your squad expects to use later. The advantage is extra storage attached to transport, not a permanent expansion of what your character can hold.
Keep what you need for an immediate fight on your character. Put spare supplies in the trunk and remember to take them back out before leaving the vehicle behind. Trunk capacity is only helpful while you can get to that vehicle.
On console, Update 44.1 also fixes a shortcut conflict. KRAFTON lists hold L-Stick for Move Items to Trunk and double-tap LT for Weapon Slot Change. Different PC or customised controller layouts should be checked against the prompt in the game.
Does PUBG vehicle trunk capacity come with more vehicle health?
Yes. The Van, Pico Bus and Food Truck receive a 15% increase in vehicle health. The Coupe RB gets 10% more health. That means the transport gaining storage also becomes tougher to destroy, although vehicles can still be damaged in a firefight.
The Van, Pico Bus and Food Truck also get 75% more tyre durability. The UAZ, Zima, Pickup, Rony and Blanc receive 30% more, while the Buggy, Pillar UAZ and Quad receive 7.5% more. Those figures describe tyre durability, not storage capacity.
When does PUBG vehicle trunk capacity change on PC and console?
The new storage arrives with Update 44.1 on each platform. PC’s update is dated November 4, 2026, while consoles receive it on November 12. PC maintenance was scheduled from 00:00 to 08:30 UTC; console maintenance is scheduled from 01:00 to 09:00 UTC.
Those UTC windows also match GMT in the UK. Maintenance finish times can change, so they shouldn’t be treated as exact promises of when players can log in. The storage feature becomes available after the update is installed on the relevant platform.
Does PUBG vehicle trunk capacity change for the BRDM-2?
The BRDM-2 gains acceleration, hill-climbing ability and top speed. The Buggy also gets extra tyre friction on slippery surfaces. KRAFTON lists these as separate vehicle changes; neither is one of the newly added 300-capacity trunk vehicles.
If you’re picking a vehicle for a long rotation, think about storage, how many teammates it carries and whether it can survive an ambush. The PUBG vehicle trunk capacity changes give you more places to stash supplies, but you still need to plan what to keep on your character.
For the broader Update 44.1 changes, including Ranked Season 44 and map rotations, see the guides below. They also cover the console controls used when transferring items to trunks.
