Fortnite Captain X rewards are unlocked by completing Treasure Hunters weekly quests, with the Captain X Outfit waiting at 24 completed challenges. There are seven reward milestones on the Battle Pass track, starting with a Loading Screen after four quests.
The Treasure Hunters mini-season began on 1 November 2026. You’ll earn the early items before you can reach the final Outfit, since the weekly challenges arrive in batches. Below is the full Fortnite Captain X rewards list, including the quest total for each cosmetic.
Fortnite Captain X rewards: every milestone and cosmetic
| Completed weekly quests | Unlock | Item type |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | The Treasure Hunt Begins | Loading Screen |
| 8 | Banner Icon | Banner Icon |
| 12 | He Who Sees All Treasure | Spray |
| 14 | Rogue Wave and Tidecutter | Back Bling |
| 18 | Hidden reward | Not revealed |
| 20 | Hidden reward | Not revealed |
| 24 | Captain X | Outfit |

The 18- and 20-quest milestones currently show hidden reward tiles. The final named reward is the Captain X Outfit at 24 completed quests.
What do you get for four, eight and twelve weekly quests?
At four weekly quests, you unlock The Treasure Hunt Begins Loading Screen, artwork you can equip from your Locker. This is the first item on the Captain X progression track and can be reached by finishing the four launch-week objectives.
Fortnite Captain X rewards continue at eight weekly quests with a Banner Icon. Banner Icons are account customisation items, not character outfits. When you reach twelve quests, the reward is the He Who Sees All Treasure Spray, which you can use during matches.

What is the 14-quest reward?
Completing 14 weekly quests unlocks the Rogue Wave and Tidecutter Back Bling. Back Bling is worn on a character’s back, so this item can be equipped with your chosen Outfit. It isn’t the Captain X character skin itself.
For players collecting every part of the set, this is the last currently named accessory before the Outfit milestone. The reward list then shows two hidden items at 18 and 20 quests, followed by the Captain X Outfit at 24.
How do you unlock the Captain X Outfit?
Finish 24 weekly quests and claim Captain X from his Battle Pass reward track. The Fortnite Captain X rewards system counts completed weekly objectives, not your overall Battle Pass level, match wins or treasure chests opened. If you have only completed the four launch quests, the Outfit will remain locked while you work through later weekly challenges.
The Captain X items require ownership of the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass. This means the Outfit isn’t a free reward simply for completing quests on an account without the pass. Buying the pass doesn’t remove the 24-quest requirement.
For the actual steps through the quest list, see our Fortnite Captain X skin quests walkthrough. That guide covers the launch objectives and how their counters work, while this page focuses on the items you’ll unlock.
Which quests count for the Captain X reward track?
Open Quests and select This Week. Those are the weekly objectives used for Fortnite Captain X rewards. The launch set includes consuming a Devil Fruit, using a Rift service or hiring a Specialist in different matches, opening three Sprite Chests found through Wanted Posters, and firing a loaded cannon.
Each of those launch quests awards 20,000 XP. Completing all four gets you to the Loading Screen milestone. The extra XP is useful for the wider season, but the Captain X reward track advances through the completed weekly quest count.
Are Fortnite Captain X rewards part of the Pirate Shop?
No. The Treasure Hunters season has several separate reward tracks. One Piece Episodes award their own cosmetics, Sprite Mastery has its own collection rewards and the Pirate Shop deals with chest prizes. The Fortnite Captain X rewards described here come from weekly quest completion milestones on the Battle Pass.
You can make progress with those other activities while playing, but a Treasure Chest isn’t automatically one completed Captain X weekly quest. The exception is when a particular weekly objective asks you to do something with a chest, such as the launch Wanted Poster task. The weekly quest must actually finish for the milestone to advance.
When are the later Captain X rewards available?
The launch set has four weekly quests, with more challenges arriving throughout November. Epic’s Captain’s Days fall on 1, 7, 12, 14 and 21 November, but those are content drops rather than Captain X quest milestones.
Epic has confirmed a major end-of-Chapter event for 5 December 2026. Keep up with the weekly quest batches and claim the Fortnite Captain X rewards you have earned through your Battle Pass screen as the season progresses.
