Warframe Longbow Sharpshot: How to Get It and Trigger Headshot Damage

Warframe Longbow Sharpshot

Warframe Longbow Sharpshot is a Primary Arcane made specifically for bows, and Update 44 changed an important part of how it activates. The trigger is now a Weakpoint hit rather than the older Headshot wording. After a qualifying Weakpoint hit, the next shot deals +300% damage. That makes Longbow Sharpshot a deliberate shot-to-shot Arcane rather than a generic stacking damage buff.

The Arcane originally arrived with The Duviri Paradox. Digital Extremes lists it among the Duviri Arcanes available through Acrithis after reaching Rank 9 in the Opportunity Intrinsic, and it is also part of Duviri’s Arcane reward ecosystem. The Whispers in the Walls Arcane Dissolution system later added Longbow Sharpshot to the Duviri Arcane Collection, giving spare Vosfor another route into the same reward pool.

How Warframe Longbow Sharpshot works

The sequence matters. You land a Weakpoint hit to prime the Arcane, then the following shot receives the +300% damage effect. The shot that activates Longbow Sharpshot is therefore setting up the next arrow. On a weapon and target where you can repeatedly hit Weakpoints, that creates a rhythm of precision shot, empowered shot, then another qualifying Weakpoint to continue the cycle.

Update 44: Iceblade of Narin converted Longbow Sharpshot from an On Headshot trigger to an On Weakpoint trigger. Digital Extremes made the same change to several precision effects, including Argon Scope, Galvanized Scope and Primary Deadhead. Current builds should therefore be judged against the Weakpoint system, not old guides that still tell you the Arcane only understands heads.

How to get Warframe Longbow Sharpshot in Duviri

Acrithis is the cleanest source to understand. Reach Rank 9 in the Opportunity Intrinsic and her Duviri Arcane offering becomes available. She rotates one Arcane for Pathos Clamps each day at 00:00 UTC, and Longbow Sharpshot is one of the Arcanes in that rotation. Because the offering changes daily, check the shop before committing to another random farm.

Pathos Clamps come from completing the Orowyrm fight, so the Acrithis route is not free. What it does provide is control: when Longbow Sharpshot appears, you know exactly which Arcane you are buying instead of hoping the correct reward comes out of a larger pool.

Warframe Longbow Sharpshot and Steel Path Duviri

Longbow Sharpshot is also associated with the Steel Path Duviri Arcane pool, including the optional Undercroft portal rewards. These are not the same thing as casually clearing an ordinary Undercroft stage. The Steel Path side portals are intended as tougher optional encounters, so the farm makes more sense when your Duviri loadout can clear them reliably.

If you are already running Steel Path Duviri for other Arcanes, Intrinsics or Pathos Clamps, the portal route can overlap several goals. If Longbow Sharpshot is the only thing you need, checking Acrithis first can save you from grinding a random pool on a day when the exact Arcane is sitting in the shop.

Warframe Longbow Sharpshot through Arcane Dissolution

Loid’s Arcane Dissolution gives unwanted Arcanes another purpose. The Duviri Arcane Collection includes Longbow Sharpshot alongside Arcane Reaper, Arcane Intention, Primary Exhilarate, Primary Obstruct, Shotgun Vendetta and other Duviri Arcanes. Spending Vosfor rolls the collection rather than purchasing Longbow Sharpshot directly.

That makes Dissolution a useful secondary route, especially for an account with piles of duplicate Arcanes from other content. It is not a reason to dissolve equipped or valuable Arcanes carelessly, and it is not as deterministic as buying the correct daily Acrithis offering.

Which weapons can use Warframe Longbow Sharpshot?

Digital Extremes labels Longbow Sharpshot as a Primary Arcane for bows only. That restriction is central to the Arcane, so do not plan around moving it onto a rifle or shotgun just because those weapons can also hit Weakpoints. The Arcane slot and weapon class both have to support it.

The best fit is a bow build that already wants accurate Weakpoint hits and can make the empowered next shot count. A weapon spraying arrows without consistently landing Weakpoints will not extract the same value. Precision, target knowledge and shot placement are part of the build rather than optional extras.

Why the Update 44 Weakpoint change matters

Weakpoint is broader and more deliberate terminology than Headshot. Warframe contains enemies whose meaningful precision target is not simply a humanoid head, and Update 44 moved a group of precision-triggered effects onto the Weakpoint system. Longbow Sharpshot is one of those effects, so older screenshots and descriptions can now be misleading even when the rest of the build is sound.

For current play, watch for the game’s Weakpoint behaviour on the enemy you are fighting. If a target has an unusual vulnerability or precision point, that is more relevant to the Arcane than asking whether the model technically has a head.

Is Warframe Longbow Sharpshot worth farming?

It is worth farming if precision bow play is already what you enjoy. The +300% next-shot reward is substantial, but it asks you to keep engaging with Weakpoints. If your preferred bow setup kills through wide area effects or rarely cares where the arrow lands, another Primary Arcane may be easier to maintain.

For farming efficiency, combine routes. Check Acrithis daily when you are in Duviri, use Steel Path portal opportunities when you are already running the Experience, and treat the Duviri Arcane Collection as an outlet for spare Vosfor. That gives Warframe Longbow Sharpshot three practical avenues instead of turning one random drop into an endless single-purpose grind.

Warframe Longbow Sharpshot: quick answer

Warframe Longbow Sharpshot is a bow-only Primary Arcane that now triggers from a Weakpoint hit and empowers the next shot with +300% damage. It can be pursued through Duviri Arcane rewards, Acrithis after Opportunity Rank 9, and Loid’s Duviri Arcane Collection. If an older guide says the trigger is strictly On Headshot, that wording predates the Update 44 Weakpoint conversion.
