The VALORANT Hush release date was 27 October 2026, the day Riot published Patch 13.09 and confirmed that its new Duelist had joined the game. Regional servers receive the patch at different times, so an exact UK unlock hour is not confirmed.
Hush can steer flashes, pull players out of position and suspend opponents. You can recruit her with XP, buy her with VP or access her through an eligible linked Game Pass subscription. Here’s how the rollout and permanent unlock work.
VALORANT Hush release date: October 27 or October 28?
Riot’s official Patch 13.09 notes expressly say Hush is now in the game. That confirms the VALORANT Hush release date, but the date printed on the notes is not a universal unlock time for every region.
Season 2026 Act VI itself began on October 13 with Patch 13.08. Hush joined during that Act in Patch 13.09, rather than launching the Act itself. If you’re seeing older guides that put her in the initial 13.08 patch, that timing doesn’t match the October 18 reveal.
VALORANT Hush release date and time in the UK
Riot confirmed Hush was live in its 27 October patch notes. After the regional update installs, you can find her in the Agents menu. The patch’s publication date isn’t a separate unlock countdown for every server.
If the VALORANT Hush release date has passed and she’s still missing, complete the Riot Client update and restart the game once. Once Hush appears, a lock on her Agent tile means you need to unlock her, not reinstall VALORANT.
VALORANT Hush release date and the free unlock event
The free route to Hush is the Agent Recruitment Event. Riot’s standard event begins automatically when a new Agent launches and runs for 28 days. XP from matches and daily or weekly missions goes towards recruitment, so you don’t need to activate an old-style Agent contract.
- Once the regional update is live, open VALORANT and go to the Agents section.
- Find Hush and open her Agent information or recruitment screen.
- Play eligible matches and complete daily or weekly missions to earn XP during the recruitment event.
- Check the event’s progress display to see how close you are to unlocking her permanently.
The VALORANT Hush release date also marks the start of that recruitment period in each region. Open her Agent page to see your progress and the requirements for a permanent unlock.
Can you buy Hush on her release date?
Yes, new Agents can normally be bought immediately using VALORANT Points (VP) rather than completing the recruitment event. Look for the purchase option on her Agent screen once she’s live. Check the VP price shown on Hush’s Agent screen before spending. Patch 13.09 confirms her arrival without publishing a separate purchase figure.
If you would rather unlock Hush through gameplay, use the recruitment period instead of buying VP. Once the event ends, players who haven’t unlocked her can use the Agent Store options.
Kingdom Credits after the VALORANT Hush release date
Not during the initial Agent Recruitment Event. Riot restricts Kingdom Credits and Agent Unlock Tokens for newly launched characters while their recruitment event is active. After those 28 days, any Agent you haven’t recruited moves into the Agent Store, where Kingdom Credits, VP and eligible unlock tokens can be used.

VALORANT Hush release date: will Game Pass give access?
Riot’s progression FAQ says a linked, eligible Xbox Game Pass subscription gives access to all Agents, including newly released characters. That access lasts while the subscription remains active; it isn’t the same as permanently recruiting or buying an Agent. If you want to keep Hush after cancelling, you’ll need a permanent unlock through the usual route.
If Game Pass isn’t providing access, check that your subscription is eligible, active and linked to the Riot account you’re playing on. Temporary Game Pass access doesn’t count as permanent recruitment.
Hush missing or locked after release?
If Hush is visible but you cannot select her, check whether you’ve completed her recruitment, purchased the Agent with VP or linked an eligible Game Pass subscription. A locked Agent tile isn’t the same thing as a missing game update.
