Search for the Needle Halloween Chest costs 150 Halloween Candy per opening in the October 2026 Graveyard event. The chest contains Gems, skeleton-themed skins, three pets, a Pumpkin Tophat and the limited Headless Horseman class. It’s the Headless Horseman that will get collectors excited, but the recorded chest odds put it at just 0.2%, making it the rarest listed prize.
The recorded reward table comes from an October 11 playthrough showing the game’s own chest panel. The eleven quoted percentages add up to only 94.2%, leaving 5.8 percentage points unexplained. This could reflect a missing reward or a transcription error, so the list should not be treated as a complete probability breakdown. If Garage Games updates the event, the odds shown in your live Halloween Chest should take priority.
All Search for the Needle Halloween Chest rewards and drop rates
The Search for the Needle Halloween Chest has two Gem payout bands alongside skins, pets and rare unlocks. The two Gem bands account for 77.35% of the listed chances. The figures transcribed from the recording total 94.2%, not 100%, so confirm the complete odds in the current game before spending currency.
| Possible reward | Recorded drop chance |
|---|---|
| 50–75 Gems | 47.35% |
| 75–175 Gems | 30% |
| Skeleton Pitchfork | 5% |
| Skeleton Vacuum | 4% |
| Skeleton Dynamite | 3.3% |
| Mummy Pig | 2% |
| Vampire Wolf | 1.35% |
| Werecow | 0.4% |
| Scythe | 0.35% |
| Pumpkin Tophat | 0.25% |
| Headless Horseman class | 0.2% |
The rarest listed reward, Headless Horseman, is labelled a limited class on the observed chest screen. Pumpkin Tophat is labelled a limited cosmetic, while Mummy Pig, Vampire Wolf and Werecow are pets. None of those prizes is guaranteed after a particular number of chests, and the recording doesn’t show a pity counter.
Search for the Needle Halloween Chest cost: Candy and free claims
One Search for the Needle Halloween Chest opening costs 150 Halloween Candy. That means three openings need 450 Candy and ten need 1,500 Candy. These are straightforward totals based on the price displayed in the October 11 recording; check the in-game chest screen before committing all your Candy.
There was also a free lobby gift visible in that recording: a prompt to claim three Halloween Chests. If you’re new to the event, inspect the lobby notifications before buying chests. The free gift may already be claimed on your account or unavailable in a later build, so don’t assume every player will see the same prompt.
How to earn Halloween Candy in Graveyard
The strongest confirmed Candy source in the recorded gameplay is the Chapter 4 Graveyard run. Skeletons appear as you dig the haystack and light the four candles surrounding the huge pumpkin. Defeating skeletons can award Halloween Candy in small amounts: the recordings show pickups of one, two and five Candy.
One completed Graveyard run also shows a 500 Halloween Candy reward after the Pumpkin Golem is defeated and the player escapes in the van. That would cover three 150-Candy chests with 50 left over, before counting skeleton drops. The 500-Candy payout is an observed result, not a verified fixed reward for every party size or difficulty.
For the full candle puzzle and boss route, use our Search for the Needle Chapter 4 walkthrough. The important steps are finding four candles in the haystack, placing and lighting them around the pumpkin, surviving the skeletons, beating the Pumpkin Golem and boarding the van after the battle.
Search for the Needle Halloween Chest Headless Horseman drop chance
The Search for the Needle Halloween Chest displays 0.2% for Headless Horseman in the recorded odds table. That’s one chance in 500 per opening if the displayed rate is correct and each roll follows the same independent probability. It does not mean that opening 500 chests guarantees the class.
At 150 Candy per chest, 500 openings would cost 75,000 Candy. That’s a large commitment to a random reward, so check whether the class is your main objective before spending. There’s no confirmed mechanic that guarantees the class after a set number of unsuccessful openings.
Pumpkin Tophat at 0.25% and Werecow at 0.4% are also rare. The Scythe skin is listed at 0.35%, while the higher-drop Skeleton Pitchfork, Vacuum and Dynamite appearances offer other event rewards to collect while you’re trying for the rarest items.
Can you buy Halloween Chests with Robux?
The observed Search for the Needle Halloween Chest interface offers three Robux bundles: three chests for 99 Robux, ten for 249 Robux and 100 for 1,999 Robux. These prices were visible during the recorded October 11 session and could change.
The larger packs lower the price per chest, but buying more rolls doesn’t make an individual opening more likely to yield Headless Horseman. Check the current bundle prices and odds in-game before paying. The event’s published Halloween Chapter 4 window runs through October 24, 2026, so there’s no basis for assuming the chest and its limited items will remain available permanently.
Which Search for the Needle Halloween Chest rewards should you chase?
For collectors, Headless Horseman is the standout because it’s a limited class rather than a skin or a modest Gem payout. The limited Pumpkin Tophat is another very rare prize. The three Halloween pets offer a different kind of collection goal, especially if you prefer unlocking creatures over character classes.
Most openings will still award Gems according to the October 11 probability table. If Gems aren’t what you want, be prepared for repeated Gem rewards while working towards the limited cosmetics. The table describes individual chest rolls, not a guaranteed order of unlocks or a reward track that progresses towards Headless Horseman.
The Search for the Needle Halloween Chest uses its own Halloween Candy, while Personal Garden runs from October 17 to October 24 and lets you grow and sell crops for special Tokens. You’ll need to keep track of the two currencies separately. The Search for the Needle codes guide also covers the new GARDEN and POTION strings.
