How to Evolve Primeape Into Annihilape

Rage Fist Annihilape Pokémon GO
Rage Fist Annihilape Pokémon GO

Getting Rage Fist Annihilape Pokémon GO requires more than simply pressing the Evolve button.

To unlock the Annihilape evolution, set Primeape as your buddy and defeat 30 Ghost-type or Psychic-type Pokémon in battle.

Primeape does not need to defeat those Pokémon itself. It only needs to be your buddy while the required battles are completed. Pokémon originally introduced this evolution requirement when Annihilape debuted in Pokémon GO.

Once the evolution requirement has been completed, evolve Primeape into Annihilape during the Worlds featured attack window to receive Rage Fist.

That means Trainers with a Primeape ready to go can complete the battle requirement before the event begins and then wait until August 25 to evolve it.

When Can You Get Rage Fist Annihilape During Worlds 2026?

Can You Use an Old Primeape for Rage Fist Annihilape?

Yes. You do not need to catch a new Mankey during Worlds to get Rage Fist Annihilape Pokémon GO.

The event bonus applies to eligible Pokémon evolved during the event, meaning a Primeape already in your storage can be used.

This is especially useful if you have already saved a strong Primeape, Shiny Primeape or a Primeape with stats you want for GO Battle League.

Complete its Annihilape evolution requirement, then evolve it during the featured attack window.

Can Shiny Annihilape Get Rage Fist?

Yes. Shiny Annihilape can receive Rage Fist during Pokémon GO Worlds 2026.

If you already have a Shiny Mankey or Shiny Primeape, it can be evolved during the event in the same way as a regular Pokémon.

Mankey is also Shiny eligible as one of the increased wild encounters from August 28 to August 30.

Primeape Can Get Rage Fist Too

Annihilape is not the only member of the Mankey family receiving a featured move.

Primeape can also know Rage Fist during the event.

The official Pokémon GO Worlds 2026 featured attack list includes both Primeape and Annihilape with Rage Fist.

That gives Trainers the option of keeping a Rage Fist Primeape rather than evolving every suitable Mankey all the way into Annihilape.

Is Rage Fist Good for Annihilape?

Rage Fist is a Ghost-type Charged Attack and is one of the moves most closely associated with Annihilape in Pokémon GO PvP.

Its return during Worlds 2026 is particularly useful for Trainers who have an Annihilape candidate but missed an earlier opportunity to obtain the featured move through evolution.

Rather than using an Elite Charged TM to add the move later, the Worlds event provides another opportunity to build a Rage Fist Annihilape Pokémon GO through normal evolution.

Best Time to Get Rage Fist Annihilape During Pokémon GO Worlds 2026

Trainers who already have Primeape can begin working toward Rage Fist Annihilape Pokémon GO before Worlds starts by completing the required 30 Ghost- or Psychic-type battle defeats.

Once the featured attack window opens on August 25, the final evolution can be completed.

Anyone who still needs Mankey should focus on the World Championships portion beginning August 28, when Mankey appears more frequently in the wild.

The final opportunity to evolve Annihilape with Rage Fist ends on August 30 at 8:00 p.m. local time.
