PUBG Global Partner Teams 2027 will no longer have guaranteed PUBG Global Series (PGS) places. KRAFTON is removing reserved entries for partner organisations, meaning every team must now earn its spot through the Regional League of the corresponding phase.
The Global Partner Team programme itself continues, but its focus shifts to collaborative in-game items and marketing. Partner status can still mean working with PUBG commercially; it just won’t put a team straight into a global tournament.
PUBG Global Partner Teams 2027: no guaranteed PGS entry
In previous seasons, selected Global Partner Teams had guaranteed PGS access alongside teams that qualified through regional competition. Starting in 2027, that competitive advantage goes: every PGS entrant must be selected through Regional League performance.
For a partner organisation, failing to qualify regionally means missing that phase’s PGS. It cannot use its partnership to claim a reserved place. The same regional route applies to every other team.

How partner teams qualify through Regional Leagues
The season has four phases. Each starts with a Regional League, followed by its PGS event. Even a team that competed at an earlier PGS needs another regional result to return in the next phase.
That’s a meaningful change for established clubs and emerging teams alike. Well-known organisations face the same sporting test, while challengers compete for places without a separate allocation being held for partners. Our qualification guide covers the regional changes and the four-phase system.
What happens to partner skins and marketing?
KRAFTON says the partnership programme will centre on collaborative in-game items and marketing activities. That keeps promotional relationships in place while separating them from automatic tournament entry.
More details about the revised partner programme will be announced separately. The October 29 statement establishes the change of focus; it doesn’t provide a new list of organisations, financial terms or item releases. Those shouldn’t be treated as confirmed parts of the 2027 package.

PUBG Global Partner Teams 2027: the champion region bonus
A PGS victory gives the champion’s region one extra seed at the following PGS. It doesn’t hand the winning organisation a guaranteed place. The additional regional spot is filled through the next phase’s Regional League.
For PUBG Global Partner Teams 2027, that means even a team that wins globally has to compete for entry again. Its region benefits from the result, but the team’s place is earned on the next round of regional performance.
What changes from the 2026 partner system?
| Rule | 2026 | 2027 |
|---|---|---|
| Global Partner Team PGS entry | Guaranteed for selected partner teams | Must qualify through each Regional League |
| Partner collaboration | Team items and promotional involvement | Focus on collaborative items and marketing |
| Regional challengers | Shared PGS field with guaranteed partners | Compete for places without reserved GPT slots |
Under the 2026 model, selected partner teams had guaranteed global spots and regional qualifiers filled other places. In 2027, teams reach PGS based on regional results, with no reserved Global Partner Team positions.
This should make the regional competitions more important to watch. Established organisations won’t skip the qualifying stage, and a strong new team has the same chance to reach the global stage by earning its Regional League result.
PUBG Global Partner Teams 2027: when the changes start
The change begins with the 2027 season. Phase 1 runs from late March to early May, starting with regional competition before PGS. Three further phases follow, and the PUBG Global Championship is planned for late November to early December.
You can follow the full calendar in our PUBG Esports 2027 schedule. For the separate championship race, our Esports Points guide explains why PGS finishes matter. PUBG Global Partner Teams 2027 must pass the same two competitive tests as everyone else: qualify regionally and then perform at PGS.
