Spiritfest runs through October 2026, and the community-maintained store listing warns that the voucher may disappear until the next annual celebration. Check the store while it’s open, especially if you’ve been saving Gold specifically for Palcat Ranching.
Palia Palcat Voucher: how to unlock Ranching first
Finish the quest Like a Bird to obtain your Glider. Afterward, Delaila can visit your Housing Plot and provide the recipe for the Barn Bell, which opens the Ranching system. Once those steps are done, you can use the Palcat Voucher to unlock the species for your Ranch. Owning a voucher doesn’t replace normal Ranching prerequisites.
Palia Palcat Voucher: how to buy your first Palcat
Complete the Ranching unlock, visit the Spooky Moon Store and buy the 20,000-Gold voucher. Use the new Palcat unlock with the Ranching system, then check your animal inventory and Ranching Guild store for Palcat options. If you’ve bought the voucher but can’t find a Palcat, make sure the Barn Bell and Ranching setup are already available on your Housing Plot.
What extra Palcats cost
After the initial voucher unlock, additional Palcats cost 3,000 Gold each from the Ranching Guild Store. That amount is separate from the voucher cost. If you plan to buy two more animals straight away, budget another 6,000 Gold after your first unlock. Repeated 20,000-Gold vouchers aren’t required to purchase normal additional Palcats.
All six Palcat coat colours
The coat colours are Clove, Pepper, Wisp, Belladonna, Crystal and Turmeric. Palcats can also inherit Socks or Wild Stripes patterns. These are animal colour and pattern traits, rather than paid costumes. Check the animal and breeding screens for the variation you’ve received or want to work towards.
What does Herb Hunter do?
Palcats have the Herb Hunter trait, which allows them to find and produce herbs once they grow to Young Adult age or older. Don’t expect a newly acquired young Palcat to start producing a full supply immediately. Give it time to grow, then check your Ranch production as you would with other animals.
Can you get Palcats outside Spiritfest?
Once the species is unlocked, additional Palcats are sold through the Ranching Guild. The initial Palia Palcat Voucher is tied to the seasonal Spooky Moon Store, and it may not be offered again until the next Spiritfest. If you haven’t unlocked Palcats yet, it’s worth securing the voucher during October rather than waiting for a regular shop restock.
Are Palcat Glasses the same reward?
No. The Palcat Glasses are a cosmetic from the six-hour October Twitch Drops milestone, which ends October 13. The Palcat Voucher buys access to ranch animals and their Herb Hunter production. Owning glasses won’t let you purchase a Palcat at the Ranching Guild, and buying the voucher won’t give you the Twitch cosmetic.
What if you don’t have 20,000 Gold?
You have until the seasonal store closes to save the cost. Sell spare resources from the activities you already enjoy, and keep enough Gold aside for the full voucher price before buying unrelated event décor. It’s also worth budgeting for more animals at 3,000 Gold apiece if you want multiple coat colours on your Ranch.
