Palia Ectoplasm is a rare Spiritfest bonus drop when you collect forageables. Elouisa needs 30 pieces for her Ghostly Evidence Bulletin Board bundle, and you can also claim ten through the October Twitch Drops.
You won’t find it by crafting cloth or defeating the event’s Ghastly Jaakcats. Foraging is the regular route, and every pick-up during Spiritfest is another chance to get this gooey seasonal material.
Palia Ectoplasm: how to get Ectoplasm
Palia Ectoplasm has a chance to appear as bonus loot when you pick up any forageable during Spiritfest. Gather wild plants, mushrooms and other forageables during your normal exploration. Check the bonus item you receive from each pickup and keep going until you reach the amount you need. Singularity 6 hasn’t announced a fixed drop percentage, so it’s not guaranteed with every item.
Palia Ectoplasm: best places to farm
Use a gathering route with lots of forageables close to one another. A long trip to one supposedly lucky plant is less useful than collecting several ordinary forageables in the same time. Search as you do other jobs, pick up everything you can use, then loop back once materials respawn. There isn’t an official boosted Ectoplasm location or plant type in Patch 0.207.
Palia Ectoplasm: how much Ectoplasm is needed?
Elouisa’s Ghostly Evidence bundle requests 30 Ectoplasm, 45 Tattered Cloth, five Elderwood Lotus and 20 Shmole Spores. Take your drops to the Spiritfest Bulletin Board in Kilima Village. You’ll need to finish the short Ghost Flusters introduction with Elouisa before the seasonal bundles open. You can contribute materials as you collect them.
Palia Ectoplasm: how to earn ten for free through Twitch
Palia’s October 2026 Twitch Drops give 10 Ectoplasm and 5 Tattered Cloth after one hour watching a Drops-enabled Palia stream. Claim the first tier in Twitch’s Inventory and then collect the items through Palia’s in-game News. The campaign finishes October 13 at 8 PM BST. That reward covers one-third of your Ghostly Evidence Ectoplasm requirement.
What are Ectoplasm drops used for?
Palia Ectoplasm is one of the Spiritfest Bulletin Board contribution materials. Completing Ghostly Evidence grants Kilima Coins, Lunar XP and friendship progress with Elouisa. Finishing all four Ghost Flusters bundles awards L’il Ghosties decorations. Complete the outro quest afterwards to earn one Spooky Moon Token, which buys a limited seasonal title.
Can you purchase it?
The patch notes identify Ectoplasm as a foraging bonus, not an item with a confirmed Gold price in the Spooky Moon Store. The store sells its own seasonal décor and the Palcat Voucher, but those aren’t ways to replace the gathering requirement. If you need ten more immediately, the first Twitch Drops tier is the clearly confirmed alternative while it’s still running.
Does a rare mushroom work better?
Singularity 6 says any forageable can give Ectoplasm. There is no official odds table showing an advantage for one particular mushroom or flower, and no documented recipe that converts other resources into it. If your usual loop has plenty of quick pickups, keep using it. You’re looking for repeated bonus rolls, not one secret haunted harvest.
When does Ectoplasm stop dropping?
Spiritfest is active through the end of October 2026, independently of Palia’s regular patch cycle. Ectoplasm is associated with that seasonal event, so don’t rely on it being a permanent foraging drop afterward. The Bulletin Board has plenty of other requirements too, so save the materials you need and hand them in before Spiritfest finishes.
Why isn’t Ectoplasm dropping?
It’s labelled a rare bonus, which means plenty of ordinary forageable pickups will yield no Ectoplasm at all. First check that you’re collecting forageables during the event rather than harvesting farm crops or searching unrelated containers. Then continue your regular gathering circuit. Even unlucky runs still give you the normal materials you picked up, so they aren’t entirely wasted.
For Palia Ectoplasm, check your progress during Spiritfest before the end of October. The item and quest routes above are available now, but the seasonal shops and creatures won’t necessarily be around afterward.
