Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources come from coastal creatures, dangerous island weather, giant trees and salvaged items. This guide gives the source and use for Tidal Gum, Coral Ore, Pirate Coins, Skyfire Gold and the other new materials, so you can head to the right part of the map before you run out of supplies.

Materials come from different places: some are gathered from the landscape, others depend on weather, and a few are chance rewards from Tide Elves. Pick the item you need before planning the voyage.

Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources: locations and uses

Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources are not interchangeable. A Tide Elf catch is nothing like mining a meteor, and trading items have different uses from crafting materials.

Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources in Misty Marsh and Reefshadow Bay

Misty Marsh contains the giant trees that supply Tidal Gum from trunks and Tidal Fruit from canopies. You cannot simply chop down those trees as you would ordinary timber. The same region has Black Tide water around Sporocysts. Collecting Black Tide Clots consumes Sanity, so bring protection and leave before you exhaust your recovery items.

Reefshadow Bay provides Mist of Deceit Wicks when you gather Mist Core Grass. The cold and mist reduce visibility, and your field of view shrinks further as HP falls. Those Wicks have uses in cannonballs and electricity facilities. For a hazard-by-hazard equipment check, use the Haywire Zones guide.

Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources: Spring Valley and Falling Ember

Spring Valley is home to Time Rain. While it is active, enemies and collected crops can provide Bottled Raindrops. The weather also speeds up Energy and Hydration consumption and wears equipment durability, making a prepared gathering session safer than a long unsupported trip.

Falling Ember is the volcanic Skyfire region. Meteors contain Skyfire Gold, used for alloy ship structures and automated gathering facilities. Larger meteors are more difficult to mine, and they can have Deviant guards. The heat around a meteor returns to normal once mining finishes.

Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources: Coral Ore, Pirate Coins and Ambergris

Three of the most searched Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources are not standard mining nodes. The October 21 notes name Tide Elves as a possible source for Coral Ore and Pirate Coins when caught. The announcement does not give a guaranteed individual spawn or a percentage, so a catch that doesn’t yield Coral Ore isn’t proof you’re looking in the wrong spot.

Pirate Coins and Ambergris are trade items for the beachcombing shop. Check sand holes, bubbling shallows and reef crevices as you explore the coast, and keep an eye out for drift bottles carrying maps or ship blueprints. That is different from collecting Wicks or Black Tide Clots in a named Haywire Zone.

What to craft with Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources

Tidal Gum supports rubber processing, Ocean Trash can become plastic, fossils allow acid extraction, and Sulfur Water from hot springs can be refined into sulfur. Shells and Conches are used in some facilities, while seafood, Abalone and Tidal Fruit are more relevant to cooking. Collect based on the production chain you want to unlock.

Special weather materials have their own equipment uses. Mist Wicks serve cannon and electricity crafting, Black Tide Clots are used for diving-related items, and Bottled Raindrops support farming and water production. Those uses become more relevant as you unlock additional Tech and ship facilities. Ship Building covers the vessel side of progression.

Early farming route for Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources

Start with basic coastal food and materials close to your territory. Open oysters for a chance at Shells, Conches, meat, Seaweed and Pearls, and collect Ocean Trash if you need plastic. Once you have enough food, Hydration and a return route, make one targeted trip for the material your next recipe requires.

The safest early approach to Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources is one region per voyage. Don’t go to Falling Ember for Skyfire Gold if your gear cannot handle the heat, and don’t linger in Black Tide water without preparing for Sanity loss. Stronger Voyager Ships and Calamity Towers offer different rewards, but they aren’t replacements for everyday material gathering.

Check How to Join Isles of Abyss for scenario access, the release overview for phase timing, and the free 10,000 Starchrom reward for the separate launch mail. That Starchrom does not need to be found at a gathering site.

Why some Once Human Isles of Abyss Resources are missing

Check that Time Rain or Skyfire is active before farming the corresponding material. Tide Elf rewards are chance-based, so one catch doesn’t guarantee a particular resource. If you’re following an old guide, make sure the item name matches the current build. The source-and-use table is a starting route, not a claim that each interaction produces exactly one item.
