Sony held their first event of 2021, the PlayStation State of Play, where they showcased many new trailers and revealed lots of information about games we can expect in the coming months.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits Release Date Announced

During Sony’s State of Play event we finally got a release date for Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

The game will be launching on August 24th 2021. Kena originally was scheduled to be released in March 2021, but it has been pushed back five months.

This news came as a bit of a surprise to fans, as many had hoped they could play the game next month. But, summer is always a quiet time for games so it does make sense to release in August and have less new games fighting for players’ attention and money.

What Is Kena: Bridge of Spirits?

A story driven, action adventure combining exploration with fast-paced combat. As Kena, players find and grow a team of charming spirit companions called the Rot, enhancing their abilities and creating new ways to manipulate the environment.

The Story

Kena, a young Spirit Guide, travels to an abandoned village in search of the sacred mountain shrine.  She struggles to uncover the secrets of this forgotten community hidden in an overgrown forest where wandering spirits are trapped.

Find the Rot

Timid and illusive spirits scattered throughout the forest. They maintain balance by decomposing dead and rotting elements.
