Pokemon Go’s February community day has been revealed to us in advance, and this time around we can expect to be seeing Hoppip.

Hoppip Community Day in Pokemon Go, February 2022

Following on from the January community day, February 2022’s CD will feature Hoppip, the Cottonweed Pokemon. The event takes place on the 12th of February, starting from 11:00 AM local time, and running for 6 hours, until 5:00 PM the same day.

As per usual with local time, you don’t need to worry if you’re not familiar with it – it basically just means whatever the time is in your local timezone, as the event will roll out at different times throughout the world. Of course, if you’ve had issues with local time not being accurate for you in the past, make sure to bear that in mind for these times as well.

February 2022 Hoppip Community day bonuses

As usual, a Community day comes with plenty of bonuses, on top of the absolute truck load of Hoppip we can expect to see throughout the 6 hours of the event.

For the more simple adjustments, we can expect Incense and Lures to both be buffed to last 3 hours each, a fairly significant improvement. Any stardust earned through captures during the event will also be tripled. The event will also feature up to three free raid passes from Gyms during the event, and up to two hours afterwards, if you’re a bit late to the party.

Not enough for you? Maybe check out your local parks, as Skiploom can appear in those alongside Hoppip, and as a bonus to that, extra Hoppip XL candy will be awarded from those Skiploom.

If you’re a bit more combat minded, you might appreciate the next thing too, as the event will feature an Exclusive move for Jumpluff – the charged attack Acrobatics, with 110 damage in Trainer Battles and 100 in Gyms and Raids.

Februrary Community day store items

If you’re not in it for the Hoppip, maybe you’ll be more interested in these side benefits of the event. The store will be updated to feature a Community day box, priced at 1280 Pokecoins, containing:

  • 50 Ultra Balls
  • 2 Super Incubators
  • 6 Star Pieces
  • An Elite fast TM

On top of that, the store will also contain a free package with 30 free Ultra balls.

Anything else to mention?

That’s the majority of the event, though there is a little bit more to mention.

Hoppip will be released as a Shiny Pokemon for the first time during the event, as well as the other members of its family. Naturally, with a Community Day that also means it’ll be appearing at a higher than average rate, so if you’re interested in capturing a different colour of Hoppip for your collection, you’ll want to make sure to remember to attend this event.

Sticker fans will also be happy to know that there’ll be the usual event-themed batch coming to the game, as always.
