Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 Part 1 – be prepared for a spooky spectacular of timed events!

As we approach the end of October, trainers are in for a treat, and maybe a few tricks, as the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event begins.

During this spooky spectacular event, trainers are set to encounter a new Mega Raid, a bucketful of candy bonuses, exclusive timed research, and a new shiny debut!

Let’s take a look below trainers, at all the information for what is set to be an event not to be missed!

Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 – the details

Beginning Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 am local time to Tuesday, October 27, 2022, at 10:00 am local time, trainers will be able to begin the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event, with the first of 2 parts going live.

There are 2 tickets available for the event. For $1 US (or the equivalent) you can purchase a ticket that will grant access to Timed Research featuring encounters with Yamask and Galarian Yamask. Or for $5, trainers can access a Timed Research featuring candy bonuses at an increased level, additional Halloween-themed tasks, and an exclusive avatar pose.

The Timed Research and their rewards must be claimed before Tuesday, November 4th, 2022 at 10:00 am Local time, or they will expire, making the items inaccessible beyond this point.

Pokemon Go Halloween 2022- Special Research

Set to the popular Lavendar Town Music, between Thursday, October 2022, at 10:00 am and Thursday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 am, trainers will embark on a quest to help Willow and Rhi complete Halloween-themed Special Research, featured around Yamask and Galarian Yamask.

Shiny Debuts

During the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event, trainers will be able to encounter Shiny Galarian Yamask and Shiny Noibat as they make their Pokemon Go debut.

Noibat will be available at an increased Shiny rate by hatching them from eggs, but will still be available as a Shiny encounter in the wild too!

Mega Banette Raid debut!

Mega Banette will be flying into raids for the duration of the Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 event, as well as being available as a Shiny Pokemon too!

The following Pokemon will also be appearing in raids:

1 Star Raids:

  • Sableye
  • Purrloin
  • Yamask
  • Galarian Yamask
  • Phantump

Sableye, Yamask, and Galarian Yamask will all be available in their Shiny forms.

3 Star Raids:

  • Gangar
  • Umbreon
  • Drifblim
  • Drapion

Gangar will be available for trainers to defeat as a Shiny Pokemon.

5 Star Raids:

  • Altered Forme Giratina

Any Giratina caught between Thursday, October 20, 2022, at 10:00 am to Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 10:00 am will know the featured attack Shadow Force.

Wild encounters

It wouldn’t be a Halloween event without some of our favorite spooky Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild.

Trainers can expect to see the following Pokemon, as well as a few Shiny Pokemon too:

  • Spinarak
  • Murkrow
  • Misdreavus
  • Sableye
  • Shuppet
  • Dusclops
  • Absol
  • Drifloon
  • Yamask
  • Golett
  • Phantump
  • Pumpkaboo
  • Subat
  • Gastly
  • Haunter

Subat, Gastly, Spinarak, Murkrow, Misdreavus, Sableye, Shuppet, Dusclops, Absol, Drifloon, and Yamask will all be available to encounter as Shiny Pokemon.

Event Eggs and Bonuses

For the duration of the event, trainers will be able to hatch the following Pokemon from 7km eggs,:

  • Yamask (Galarian)
  • Yamask
  • Phantump
  • Golett
  • Noibat

Yamask (Galarian), Yamask, and Noibat will all be available to hatch as a Shiny Pokemon.

Trainers can also expect the following event bonuses:

  • 2× Candy for catching Pokemon.
  • 2× Candy for transferring Pokemon.
  • 2× Candy for hatching Pokemon.
  • Trainers level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Candy XL when walking with their buddy.
