LEGO Fortnite Kraken props are unlocked from four Brick or Treat Journal quests released October 15. They are two tentacles and the Kraken eye. Unlike Bakeneco’s Pumpkin Juggernaut, you earn these through the Journal, not the Creator Builds pop-up.
Here’s the LEGO Fortnite Kraken props quest walkthrough, including fishing equipment and the final collection task. If you’re catching up after Week 1, check the seasonal Journal to see whether the older quests are available in your world.
LEGO Fortnite Kraken props: every Week 1 quest
| Quest | Objective |
|---|---|
| The Bling from Beneath | Craft a Gem Fishing Rod |
| Tricky Treats | Craft 3 Bait Buckets |
| Hang Ten-tacles | Catch 3 Jellyfish or Cuddle Fish |
| The Kraken Rises | Gather 24 materials: Obsidian Slabs, Glass, Wooden Rods and Vines |
Craft a Gem Fishing Rod
For LEGO Fortnite Kraken props, use the Crafting Bench to make a Gem Fishing Rod. Its ingredients involve Wolf Claws, Drawstring, Wooden Rods and Cut Gems. The exact per-item recipe isn’t supplied in the event Journal transcription, so check your Crafting Bench before farming. Wooden Rods come from the Lumber Mill, and Drawstring can be processed at the Spinning Wheel.
Make three Bait Buckets at the Mixer
Tricky Treats asks you to craft three Bait Buckets. Head to the Mixer, not your regular Crafting Bench, and use an unlocked bucket recipe. Track the Journal quest and verify that each bucket counts as you make it. If you’re missing the crafting station, check its Build Menu recipe first.
Catch three Jellyfish or Cuddle Fish
Hang Ten-tacles accepts a combination of Jellyfish and Cuddle Fish, so you don’t need three of each. Jellyfish can be found while fishing near the Shore, while Cuddle Fish are reported in suitable spots elsewhere. Use the Fishing Rod and Bait Bucket to create a fishing opportunity, then watch the Journal total after each qualifying catch.
The Kraken Rises: all required materials
The final LEGO Fortnite Kraken props quest asks for 24 materials in total. The Journal transcription names Obsidian Slabs, Glass, Wooden Rods and Vines, but the verified breakdown for how many of each is not available, so read the current objective in-game before processing a large stockpile.
| Material | Where to get it |
|---|---|
| Obsidian Slabs | Mine Obsidian from Dry Valley lava caves and use a Stone Breaker |
| Glass | Process ingredients at a Smelter |
| Wooden Rods | Refine Wood at a Lumber Mill |
| Vines | Harvest bushes |
Bring heat protection into lava caves and check your current Obsidian mining tool requirement before travelling. You’ll need to collect the finished items where the quest asks for processed materials. For LEGO Fortnite Kraken props, having the same raw ingredients in a chest isn’t necessarily the same as satisfying the Journal’s gather counter.
How to claim and place the decorations
After finishing The Kraken Rises, return to your Journal and claim the reward if prompted. The LEGO Fortnite Kraken props bundle includes the eye and two tentacles. The pieces can then be found through the Build Menu, where you’ll see any additional placement costs. Claiming the Halloween Creator Build from the same week isn’t part of this unlock.
Can you still finish Week 1?
The community-maintained event calendar indicates a November 5–12 catch-up window. Epic confirms the November 12 event end but hasn’t publicly detailed every missed-week rule. Check the current Brick or Treat Journal rather than assuming previous tasks remain accessible on any particular day.
See our Brick or Treat event hub and Calcitor’s Jaws Week 2 guide for the later quests and rewards.
