Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 changes make the Bazaar much easier to use without removing the player-driven trading system underneath it. The biggest additions are suggested prices based on sales history, optional automatic price lowering and a rank rework that stops item categories from being locked behind higher Merchant’s Guild ranks.
The Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 update also changes how you move around the Bazaar interface. Search and listing tools are closer together, stall types can be swapped from the UI, and ranks now unlock bags of useful materials and keys instead of permission to buy specific equipment types. For anyone returning to trading after an older season, several familiar rules have moved.
How Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 price suggestions work

When you list an item in Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5, the Bazaar can show a suggested price based on recent sales of similar items. The system considers important item attributes, including things such as Legendary Potential and exalted affixes, rather than giving every item with the same base type one identical value.
The suggested price is guidance, not a forced listing price. You can still enter your own gold value. The interface also provides additional information explaining which item attributes contributed to the suggestion, which should make it easier to judge whether the automated number makes sense for a particularly unusual roll.
At the beginning of a season, some items may not have enough price history for a useful suggestion. Eleventh Hour Games specifically notes that players can either hold those items until more sales data exists or list them and help establish the early market value.
How automatic price reduction works
Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 adds an opt-in Automatic Price Lowering option when listing an item. This is designed for items that might not sell immediately, so you no longer need to remove and manually relist the same piece every time you want to make it cheaper.
When you enable automatic lowering, you choose a price floor that the Bazaar will never go below. You also choose how much the price drops, either as a flat amount or as a percentage of the original list price. Finally, you choose how often the reduction happens: hourly, daily or weekly.
That floor is the important safety control. If you list something high because you are unsure of its value, Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 can gradually reduce the price without eventually dumping it below the minimum amount of gold you are willing to accept.
The feature is optional. If you want one fixed price, simply list the item without enabling automatic reduction. It is also worth remembering that the system only lowers prices. It does not automatically raise your listing if a build suddenly makes an item more valuable later.
Do Merchant’s Guild ranks still restrict what you can buy?
No. One of the largest Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 changes is the removal of the old rank gates for purchasing different equippable item types. The Season 5 patch notes state that all equippable item types can now be purchased simply by being a member of the Merchant’s Guild, regardless of rank.
Ranks still matter, but their rewards are different. Ranking up now unlocks access to bags containing crafting materials or keys. These bags have different rarity levels with escalating gold and Favor costs, giving established traders another place to spend excess resources.
Black Market Tokens have also been removed. That fits the new structure because the old token’s ability to bypass rank requirements is no longer needed when equippable item purchases are not gated by those ranks in the first place.
What changed in the Bazaar interface?
Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 combines more of the search and listing flow into the same interface. Placing an item to sell automatically applies quick filters so you can immediately compare it with similar listings. Common filters were moved higher, related filters were grouped together and some options only appear after a relevant filter has been chosen.
You can also swap the stall type you are browsing from the interface instead of physically running to another NPC for every item category. This sounds small, but it removes a lot of repeated movement when checking several types of equipment during one shopping session.
The update also adds a T6 filter and changes how the T7 filter handles sealed affixes. The goal is to make it easier to narrow down useful exalted crafting bases without sealed affixes distorting the results you were actually trying to find.
What has not changed about Merchant’s Guild trading?
Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 is still the trading Item Faction. You join an Item Faction during the campaign, and Merchant’s Guild trading still uses the Bazaar, gold and Favor rather than direct item-for-item exchanges. The Season 5 update focuses on access, pricing and usability rather than replacing the faction with an unrestricted auction house.
This trading rework is also separate from the new Season 5 combat content. You can use the Bazaar without completing Last Epoch Rage of Morditas progression, and the new mastery skills such as Last Epoch Summon Tide Elemental or Last Epoch Dreamslash do not require Merchant’s Guild membership.
For returning players, the simplest way to think about Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 is that ranks now reward continued faction progression instead of acting as purchase permission for different gear classes. Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 trading still asks you to make the actual market decisions yourself. The Bazaar gives you more help when pricing and relisting items, while the actual choice of what to buy, what to sell and what price to accept remains yours. That is the core of the Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 rework. Last Epoch Merchants Guild Season 5 is a usability overhaul, not a replacement for the player market.
