Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 is live for Season 5 and fixes several problems that could block or disrupt Rage of Morditas, Monolith progression and normal zone loading. Eleventh Hour Games deployed the client hotfix on October 3, so players need to update before expecting these fixes to apply.

The biggest changes are practical: Rage of Morditas gauntlets should now spawn enough enemies to finish, Yrun should stop creating invisible damaging zones, and Caves, Tombs and Cemeteries should no longer freeze briefly or show black textures when entered.

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1: every confirmed fix

  • Brief freezes when loading into Caves, Tombs and Cemeteries are fixed.
  • Rage of Morditas gauntlets should no longer spawn too few monsters to complete.
  • Wolven Cocoons and Dusk Spiders no longer respawn during the gauntlet.
  • Rage of Morditas rewards and Portents of Blood corrupted items should not appear already ruined.
  • Yrun should no longer create invisible damaging zones.
  • The endgame version of Yrun should no longer spawn outside Empowered Monoliths.
  • Black textures in Caves, Tombs and Cemeteries are fixed.
  • The Legacy Stash dropdown and Merge button should no longer disappear for recently ended seasonal characters.
  • Eternal Font, Death Dance and Gift of the Eidolon now only drop in level 80 or higher zones.

Rage of Morditas gauntlet fix

The main progression fix in Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 targets gauntlets that could generate too few monsters to satisfy the completion condition. If the encounter stalled after every visible enemy was dead, that was a real bug rather than a hidden objective.

EHG also removed Wolven Cocoons and Dusk Spiders from respawning during the gauntlet. The corrected activity should now produce a cleaner, finite combat sequence instead of leaving players waiting for the wrong enemy state.

Yrun fixes

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 corrects two separate Yrun problems. One allowed invisible damaging areas during the boss fight, while the other let the endgame version appear outside Empowered Monoliths.

If Yrun still behaves strangely after updating, confirm the client version before changing your build. Those two symptoms are specifically listed as resolved.

Caves, Tombs and Cemeteries

The same three environment families had both a loading hitch and a rendering issue. Players could see a short freeze while entering them and black surfaces after the area loaded. Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 fixes both.

Use those zones as a simple post-patch test. If the same environment still freezes or renders black, report that specific area instead of treating every Season 5 stutter as the same bug.

Legacy stash and items

Legacy characters transferred from a season that had just ended could lose the Stash dropdown and Merge button. The hotfix restores those controls. This is separate from a missing stash tab caused by another account or UI problem.

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 also changes three item restrictions. Eternal Font, Death Dance and Gift of the Eidolon now only drop in level 80 or higher zones, so lower-level farming is no longer the intended route.

Do you need to restart?

Yes. EHG says this build requires an updated client. Fully close Last Epoch, install the new version and reopen it before testing the fixes.

If Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 is installed and a listed issue still reproduces, EHG asks players to use the F8 in-game Bug Report tool and include as much detail as possible.

What to test first after installing

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 is easiest to verify by revisiting the exact symptom that affected you rather than trying to test every line of the notes. A Morditas player should generate a fresh gauntlet, a Yrun player should watch the arena telegraphs, and a player with zone issues should enter one of the named environment types.

That targeted approach also makes a remaining bug report more useful. If one fix works and another does not, reporting the specific failure is better than saying the entire hotfix failed.

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 does not reset Season 5 progress or require a new character. It is a client-side hotfix, so normal saves and progression should continue after the update is installed.

Last Epoch Hotfix 1.5.1.1 is therefore a targeted reliability patch rather than a balance update, which makes version checking the first step for every issue listed here.
