How to Get Intel Devices in Battlefield 6

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 are Deep Six Collection Event items that contribute to event progress across both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. EA’s Tidal Strike guidance repeatedly pairs gathering Intel Devices with completing contracts, so they are part of the route toward the event reward track and final Diver’s Knife.

The important thing is not to confuse Deep Six Intel Devices with Phantom Program access-code fragments. Both arrived in Tidal Strike, but they belong to different activities and progress different rewards.

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 belong to the Deep Six event, which runs from September 15 through October 12. EA tells players to gather them across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC while working through contracts and challenges. They are therefore event progression objects rather than a permanent base-game collectible set.

EA’s official event guide does not publish a static map of every Intel Device spawn. That matters because presenting made-up fixed locations would be worse than telling you how the event actually tracks them: through the active Deep Six opportunities available in the current playlists.

Where you can collect Intel Devices

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 can appear as part of Deep Six activity in both the paid Battlefield 6 side and REDSEC. The event is intentionally cross-mode, so your progress is not limited to Battle Royale or core Multiplayer alone.

The September free trial also includes the Deep Six Event Playlist with Contracts. If you are a non-owner, that playlist is the most obvious place to start because it puts the current event objectives in front of you while the trial is active.

Do Intel Devices replace contracts?

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 do not replace contracts. EA describes Deep Six progression using both systems: complete contracts and gather Intel Devices. Treat them as parallel ways the event asks you to participate rather than assuming one automatically finishes the other.

Before each session, check the event page for the contracts you can advance in your chosen playlist. Then keep an eye out for Intel opportunities while completing those objectives. Our Deep Six contracts guide covers the contract side of the same progression loop.

Intel Devices are not Phantom Program fragments

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 are easy to mix up with Phantom Program clues because both arrived on September 15 and both use “intel” language. Phantom Program is a REDSEC operation on Fort Lyndon built around hidden intelligence, Easter eggs and access-code fragments. Deep Six is the Collection Event that leads to the Diver’s Knife.

If you are hunting an object because you want the Phantom access code, you are in a different activity. If you are filling the Deep Six collection and chasing the Royal Navy knife, Intel Devices are the relevant event resource.

How long you have to collect them

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 matter until Deep Six ends on October 12. That gives you almost four weeks from the Tidal Strike launch rather than forcing every device into the first few days. The free trial ends earlier on September 22, but REDSEC remains available afterwards.

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 are best treated as part of normal event routing: pick a Deep Six objective, play the eligible modes, collect the Intel opportunities you encounter and watch the event meter move. There is no benefit in following an invented static map when EA has not published one.

How Intel Devices fit into Deep Six progression

Intel Devices in Battlefield 6 are one half of the progression language EA uses for Deep Six: the event asks players to complete contracts and gather Intel Devices across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. That means they should be treated as event progression, not confused with Phantom Program access-code fragments, which belong to a separate REDSEC mystery on Fort Lyndon.

The useful habit is to open the Deep Six event panel before a session and check what your current collection still needs. If you are also using the free trial, EA says the trial includes Deep Six event gameplay with contracts, so new players can make genuine event progress during the September 15–22 trial rather than only sampling unrelated maps and modes.
