Midnight Gourmand is Puppeteer’s A-rarity costume from Identity V’s Feast of the New Moon Halloween event. To unlock it, collect Ghost Sandwiches from the event activities and exchange them for the costume in the limited-time shop before November 4, 2026.
Midnight Gourmand is bought in the Feast of the New Moon event exchange, not in Season Essence or the returning Halloween Spyglass shop. You’ll need the event’s Ghost Sandwich currency, earned through story chapters, matches and Secret Brew.
How to unlock the Midnight Gourmand costume

Open Feast of the New Moon from the Identity V event area. Complete the available story acts, play qualifying matches and clear Secret Brew stages to earn Ghost Sandwiches. Once you have enough for the A-rarity Puppeteer costume, open the event exchange shop, select Puppeteer: Midnight Gourmand and complete the redemption.
Midnight Gourmand is a direct exchange reward, rather than a random draw. The same shop also carries Fool’s Gold’s Night Cook costume, the Crescent Elixir accessory, a portrait frame and two stickers. You can choose the costume you want rather than hoping for a particular drop.
Get 70 Ghost Sandwiches from the story
Story Experience is a good place to start. There are seven chapters, worth 10 Ghost Sandwiches each, for 70 in total. Finishing the whole story also unlocks the Feast of the New Moon room music.
All seven acts are available now. Work through them in order and collect the currency from each. The dialogue changes the ending, not the rewards, so you won’t miss a sandwich by choosing the wrong response.
Earn more from matches and Secret Brew
Matches contribute a separate pool of up to 140 Ghost Sandwiches across the event. The amount you receive from an individual match depends on the mode and the victory conditions. Players who fail the minimum completion requirement receive no currency for that match. The unused daily combat allowance rolls forward, so a missed day does not automatically cost you that portion of the match pool.
Secret Brew is a colour-sorting minigame that awards up to 10 Ghost Sandwiches per day for completing new stages. Pour matching top colours into compatible cups with space available until each cup contains one colour. There is no limit on how many attempts you can make, although the currency has its own daily limit.
Where to spend Ghost Sandwiches
When you’ve collected your sandwiches, return to the Feast of the New Moon shop and select Puppeteer: Midnight Gourmand. Midnight Gourmand costs 130 Ghost Sandwiches. Spend that amount to redeem the costume for Puppeteer.
Finish all seven story acts for 70 Ghost Sandwiches, then earn another 60 from matches or Secret Brew to reach the 130-sandwich cost. Fool’s Gold’s Night Cook costume costs 40 sandwiches, so it’s worth saving for Puppeteer first if Midnight Gourmand is your priority.
Can you get Midnight Gourmand without spending Echoes?
You can earn the exchange currency through ordinary event play. Story Experience, eligible matches and Secret Brew all pay Ghost Sandwiches, so buying Echoes isn’t necessary for this reward route.
The Daily Flavor Retro Check-in feature is separate. It spends Inspirations to recover missed login items, not to unlock Midnight Gourmand. Put your time into the three Ghost Sandwich earning activities for the Puppeteer costume.
What if Midnight Gourmand is still locked?
If you’re looking in the Halloween Spyglass shop, switch back to Feast of the New Moon. Spyglasses cannot pay for Midnight Gourmand. The Ghost Parfait maker is also separate; saving a custom dessert gives you a dish, not costume currency.
Need more currency? Finish any remaining chapters, clear that day’s new Secret Brew stages and play qualifying matches. Unused combat allowance rolls forward, so you can work through the remainder of the 140-sandwich match pool.
Midnight Gourmand end date and other rewards
The Midnight Gourmand exchange is part of Feast of the New Moon, which ends November 4, 2026 at 23:59. After the event closes, unused Ghost Sandwiches convert to Clues at a 1:2 ratio, so holding them does not secure the costume.
If you’ve already redeemed the Puppeteer outfit, the remaining shop choices include Fool’s Gold’s Night Cook costume, Survivor Crescent Elixir accessory, the Pumpkin Party portrait frame and Expectation and Refuse stickers. Decide which additional rewards you want while the exchange shop is still open.
