How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free is currently a Twitch Drops reward tied to Ironmouse. Fortnite says you need to watch Ironmouse for 60 minutes during the active campaign, then claim the reward through Twitch before the promotion ends.
The campaign is live now and Fortnite lists September 30, 2026 as the last day to get the drops. You do not need to spend V-Bucks, but your Twitch account needs to be connected to the Epic Games account you actually use for Fortnite before you claim the reward.
How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free
The direct route for How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free is to watch Ironmouse on Twitch for a total of 60 minutes while the Fortnite Twitch Drops campaign is active. Fortnite announced the 60 minute requirement alongside the separate 30 minute Chibi Ironmouse Spray reward.
- Sign in to the Epic Games account you use for Fortnite.
- Connect that Epic account to your Twitch account.
- Open Ironmouse on Twitch while the Fortnite Drops campaign is active.
- Watch until your Guitar Processing Unit progress reaches 60 minutes.
- Open your Twitch Drops inventory and claim the reward.
- Launch or restart Fortnite and check your Locker.
Watch progress should be visible through Twitch rather than guessed from the stream timer. If How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free is your only target, keep the Twitch Drops inventory open in another tab so you can confirm that the Fortnite campaign is actually counting your viewing time.
Do you need to link Twitch and Epic Games?
Yes. Epic’s official Fortnite support page says Twitch must be connected to your Epic Games account before the event and before you claim the drop. This is especially important if you have more than one Epic account, because the reward needs to land on the account connected to the Fortnite profile you use.
If you have claimed Fortnite Twitch Drops before, the accounts may already be linked. It is still worth checking the connection before spending an hour watching. That avoids completing How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free on the wrong Twitch or Epic account.
How long do you need to watch Ironmouse?
You need 60 minutes for the Guitar Processing Unit. The earlier Chibi Ironmouse Spray milestone is reached after 30 minutes, so players going for How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free should be able to complete both campaign milestones during the same hour of eligible viewing.
You do not need to buy the Ironmouse Outfit or the paid Ironmouse Bundle to earn the Twitch Drop. The Guitar Processing Unit promotion is separate from the current Item Shop cosmetics, making it useful even if you only want the free part of the collaboration.
Why is my Guitar Processing Unit progress not moving?
If your progress is stuck, first check that you are logged into Twitch, that the correct Epic account is connected and that the active Fortnite drop is visible in Twitch Drops inventory. Because this campaign is attached to Ironmouse, also check that you are watching the eligible Ironmouse stream while the Fortnite campaign is active rather than assuming any Ironmouse broadcast will count automatically.
Epic also says a Twitch notification appears when you meet the eligibility requirement. Reaching 60 minutes is not the final step in How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free: you still need to claim the content from Twitch within the campaign’s claim window.
When do the Ironmouse Twitch Drops end?
Fortnite says September 30 is the last day to get the Ironmouse drops. No special UK or regional end time was included in the announcement, so do not leave the 60 minute requirement until the final evening. Completing How to Get Guitar Processing Unit in Fortnite for Free earlier also gives you time to troubleshoot the account link or claim if something does not appear immediately.
