How to Get 9th Birthday Sprite Spray in Fortnite now has a live answer: enter 9YEARS in the Chapter 7 Season 4 Admin Panel to claim the free 9th Birthday Sprite Spray. The code went live on September 21, so the earlier waiting period is over and there is no reason to test random birthday passwords.
The Spray is separate from the three Birthday Quest milestone cosmetics. Choco-9 Cake, Cake Crusher and FNCS Sentry come from completing Birthday Quests, while the 9th Birthday Sprite Spray is a Lobby Hack reward claimed from the Fortnite lobby. That distinction matters because the two systems use completely different unlock methods.

If you opened this page earlier in the day, the important change is that How to Get 9th Birthday Sprite Spray in Fortnite no longer requires waiting for Epic to activate the birthday code. The code is live now and can be entered through the same Admin Panel used for other Chapter 7 Season 4 Lobby Hacks.
How to redeem the 9YEARS Fortnite code
Launch Fortnite and remain in the main lobby. Open the Admin Panel, choose the option to enter a Lobby Hack code, type 9YEARS and submit it. You do not need to find an in-match wall code for this reward.
- Open Fortnite and stay in the lobby.
- Open the Admin Panel.
- Choose the Lobby Hack code entry option.
- Enter 9YEARS exactly.
- Submit the code and check your reward.
The Admin Panel is separate from the wall-mounted Cheat Codes found during Battle Royale matches. If you are unfamiliar with the lobby system, our How to Use a Cheat Code in Fortnite guide explains the difference.
Is the 9YEARS Fortnite code free?
Yes. How to Get 9th Birthday Sprite Spray in Fortnite does not require V-Bucks, a paid bundle or a tournament placement. The Spray is attached to the free 9YEARS Lobby Hack code.
That also means completing all nine Birthday Quests is not a requirement for this particular cosmetic. Those quests unlock Choco-9 Cake, Cake Crusher and FNCS Sentry instead. You can claim the Sprite Spray even if you are still working through the birthday quest list.
9YEARS code not working
First check the spelling and make sure you are entering the code through the lobby Admin Panel rather than an in-match wall panel. The code contains the number 9 followed by YEARS, with no spaces.
Epic has also acknowledged an Admin Panel submission issue affecting some Xbox players. Epic says players on multiple platforms can enter Lobby Hack codes on another device while the Xbox issue is being worked on. If the submit button itself is failing, see our Fortnite Admin Panel Code Not Working guide.
Is the Birthday Sprite the same reward?
No. The Birthday Sprite and the 9th Birthday Sprite Spray are separate things. How to Get 9th Birthday Sprite Spray in Fortnite gives you a Locker Spray through the 9YEARS code, while the Birthday Sprite is a gameplay collectible scheduled to appear later in the birthday event.
The wider Fortnite 9th Birthday Event Guide covers the live quests, cake, Presents, Balloons and event dates. The Fortnite 9th Birthday Rewards page keeps all of the free unlocks together.
How long is the 9YEARS code available?
The code is active now, but Epic has not published a permanent availability promise for this specific Lobby Hack. Redeeming it while the birthday event is live is the sensible move rather than assuming it will remain usable indefinitely.
If you only came here for How to Get 9th Birthday Sprite Spray in Fortnite, the answer is now simple: open the Fortnite Admin Panel, enter 9YEARS and claim the 9th Birthday Sprite Spray. You do not need to wait for another birthday update.
