GPO Brand of Sacrifice is one of the two new collectible auras in Halloween Event Part 1, and it only drops from tricks while trick-or-treating on Spooksville. You cannot buy it from an NPC, which makes it the more restrictive aura to farm.
The acquisition rule is the key thing to understand: a normal treat is not the result you want. Keep knocking on doors with a candy basket and you are specifically hoping for a trick that rolls the rare Brand of Sacrifice drop.
GPO Brand of Sacrifice: exact acquisition method
- Travel to Spooksville in the First Sea.
- Hold a candy basket.
- Knock on the houses to trigger Trick or Treat.
- Keep farming until a door gives a trick.
- Brand of Sacrifice can drop from tricks only.
There is no shop alternative for this aura. If the door gives you a treat, collect the candy and continue to the next house.

GPO Brand of Sacrifice: Does night increase the Brand of Sacrifice chance?
The developer notes give the four-times-at-night bonus to Nightfall Aura, not Brand of Sacrifice. Do not assume the same multiplier applies here.
Night is still a good time to farm the event overall because normal treats give 1.5x candy, so failed Brand attempts are more rewarding when they turn into treats.
GPO Brand of Sacrifice: What else do you get with the aura?
Brand of Sacrifice comes with The Branded title. It can also be recoloured through the Tailor, giving you more control over how the collectible looks once it is equipped.
That makes it a proper chase cosmetic rather than an aura with one fixed presentation.
GPO Brand of Sacrifice: Why you cannot trade it immediately
A six-hour trade lock applies after Brand of Sacrifice drops from trick-or-treating. The developers added the delay so suspicious drops can be reviewed before the item enters the trade economy.
If you farm one successfully, do not assume the trade menu is broken just because you cannot move it to another player straight away.
GPO Brand of Sacrifice: Best way to farm tricks
Keep a clean route around the Spooksville houses instead of repeatedly checking the same door without moving. You want as many Trick or Treat interactions per hour as possible.
Candy is still useful during failed attempts, especially at night. Treats have a 3% chance to become Jackpot Treats worth 10 candy, and night treats pay 1.5x candy.
GPO Brand of Sacrifice: trick streak rewards
The event also tracks trick-or-treat streaks. Being tricked six times in a row awards the 😱 streak title, while 15 treats in a row awards the 🍭 title.
Two Jackpot Treats in a row award the 🤑 title. These titles are separate from the Brand drop, but they give long farming sessions another possible payoff.
GPO Brand of Sacrifice: Can Brand of Sacrifice come from Nyx?
No. Nyx is the alternate source for Nightfall Aura. Brand of Sacrifice is explicitly tricks-only and cannot be bought.

What if you keep getting treats?
There is no bad-luck shortcut listed for Brand of Sacrifice. Treats simply mean another failed aura roll, although you keep the candy and any Jackpot bonus that triggered.
Use that candy on baskets, costumes, Blood Scythe or other returning items instead of seeing every non-Brand door as completely wasted time.

Brand of Sacrifice vs Nightfall Aura
Brand of Sacrifice is harder to target because it is locked to tricks and has no vendor purchase path. Nightfall Aura can drop from any Trick or Treat roll, becomes four times more common at night and is also sold by Nyx.
If your goal is both, farm Brand first and let Nightfall arrive naturally during the same house route.
How to tell whether a farming session is still worth continuing
If you are already collecting a useful amount of candy, the Brand hunt is still doing something for you even when the aura refuses to appear. Night treats, Jackpot Treats and Candy Skeletons all turn failed trick rolls into progress toward the event shop.
The grind becomes much worse when you stand still waiting for one specific outcome. Keep the house route moving, bank the candy value and treat the aura as the rare result layered over the normal event loop.
