FNF Week 8 release tease posted by Phantom Arcade!

It’s been some months since the release of Friday Night Funkin’s Week 7, featuring updated charting, a Kickstarter reveal, and three new songs, among other things. The fandom has gone absolutely insane with its modding capabilities in this time of absence from the real game, and admittedly even I’m getting antsier overtime for more official Friday Night Funkin content. However… it seems the FNF Week 8 release may be closer than we could have imagined, and the antagonist for the week may have been revealed early!

Well, nothing seems absolutely certain or set in stone yet, but we do have some of the most credible and up-to-date information about FNF Week 8. We do know from the Kickstarter announcement that there would still be SOME content added to the free version over time, so a full Week 8 is well within the realm of possibility.
Additionally, Phantom Arcade posted the image below on Twitter on September 12th, featuring what looks to be Hank from Madness, a fairly big Newgrounds property for a while. The popular Tricky Mod takes place within this same universe, so it seems Newgrounds characters used in mods, such as Zardy, may be eligible for full weeks in the game.
It IS possible that this may just be Phantom Arcade celebrating or hyping up the release of Madness: Project Nexus, but the lack of any text accompanying the tweet seems to me that it’s more likely to be a teaser rather than merely celebratory art. It seems, then, Hank would be the person BF finds himself rap battling against. Perhaps a Tricky appearance too?
Considering the timing, I’d assume that would mean FNF Week 8 is coming out within 30 days, and certainly be the end of 2021. Usually, crossovers like these, especially when both series are getting new content, tend to coincide in timing at least somewhat.

Regardless of the exact release date, FNF Week 8 looks closer than ever with the clearest teaser we’ve ever gotten from the devs since the release of Week 7.
