Since the cancelation of the Hideo Kojima-produced Silent Hill game, dubbed PT by fans, Konami has been very silent regarding the franchise’s future.

It has been known that a new entry in the series has been in development for quite some time, as well as a new movie that is currently slated for a 2023 release.

However, no official news has been given regarding the development and release of the next entry in the Silent Hill franchise, which will be the first since 2012’s Silent Hill: Book of Memories.

This is all set to change as Konami has revealed that new details surrounding the Silent Hill franchise will be revealed later this week.

On October 19th, 2022, at 2 pm PDT/5 PM est/10 pm BST/11 pm CEST, Konami will host a special presentation that will shed light on what is next for the Silent Hill franchise.

In a tweet, Konami announced the news saying,

As of right now, there have been no leaks regarding what could be shown during the presentation, but many are speculating that it will be related to a brand-new game in the series.

Although can you imagine if all of this hype was generated just to show off a movie trailer, which so far hasn’t been very commercially successful?
