Gran Turismo 7 release date announced during PlayStation Showcase event

For almost 25 years, Gran Turismo has been a flagship series for Sony ever since the first title was released back in 1997. Now the series is set to make its debut on the next-gen PS5 with Gran Turismo 7, with the last mainline entry releasing all the way back in 2013.

During the recent PlayStation Showcase event, a brand new trailer was revealed, along with its official release date.

The event was incredibly exciting, with reveals for many new titles including Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic Remake, Alan Wake Remastered, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Gran Turismo 7 Release Date Announced

During the recent PlayStation Showcase event, we finally got to see a new trailer for Gran Turismo 7, which showcased various vehicles, tracks, and even some gameplay to show off the power of the PlayStation 5 and what it can achieve.

It was also revealed during the trailer that the game will be making an appearance on the PS4 too, which will no doubt be great news for many fans as it is still incredibly difficult to find a PS5 for sale, with shelves being empty for 10 months now.

Players will be able to jump into some next-gen racing when Gran Turismo 7 launches on March 4th, 2022. This is a few months behind Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5, which is set to release on November 5th, 2021, but it should be worth the wait, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Gran Turismo series.
