God of War finally gets a PC release date

During a recent PlayStation State of Play event, it was revealed that numerous PlayStation exclusives would be making their way to PC, following in the footsteps of the already released Horizon Zero Dawn.

Some of these games included the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection, which will feature Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Another game that has long been rumored that 2018’s God of War would be making it to PC as well.

Now, God of War finally has a PC release date after months of speculation.

God of War PC release date revealed

God of War’s director and story writer has revealed that the 2018 PS4 exclusive will now be making its way to PC next year.

In a tweet, he revealed that the game will be available on Steam on January 14, 2022.

“God of War is coming to PC on January 14 2022!!!

Huh. I guess I am a little bit Kojima after all? Just took me a couple of years.”

According to the Steam listing for the game, God of War will feature up to 4K graphics, as well as the ability to increase the frame rate way beyond what the PS4 is capable of, 144 gang where you at? The game will also utilize Nvidia’s DLSS and Reflex to further enhance the experience.

Keyboard and mouse players will be happy too as the game will feature support for both controller and keyboard and mouse, both of which are fully customizable to allow players to fine-tune their playing experience to suit their style.

The PC requirements haven’t been released yet, but to enjoy the game in 4K we expect that players will need an Nvidia RTX 30 series GPU. The storage space requirement has been listed and it is said to take 80GB to install the game.

God of War will launch on Steam on January 14, 2022. The game is available now on PS4 and is playable on PS5 via backward compatibility.
