Balan Wonderworld: Is It Going To Be On PS4?

Balan Wonderworld is an upcoming platforming game developed by Balan Company and published by Square Enix. But will Balan Wonderworld be on the PS4?

What Is Balan Wonderworld?

The game follows characters Leo Craig and Emma Cole on their journey along maestro Balan, who leads them through a Wonderworld – a place described as a mix of imagination and reality.

The game is being developed under the guidance of Yuji Naka (aka YU2), former head of Sonic Team who joined Square Enix in January 2018. Director Naka has been involved in several projects such as Nights into Dreams, StreetPass Fishing (Ultimate Angler in the US), and the Sonic series.

The player can select between either avatar at the start, with a variety of looks based on different skin tones, and dive right into the fantastical world. The player avatar can unlock several costumes throughout the game.

The costumes provide the player character with powers depending on the nature of the costume. Some allow for longer jumps, some allow you to break brittle blocks and attack enemies.

Is Balan Wonderworld on PS4?

Prior to its release later this month, the demo of the game has been made available on all the platforms. It can be downloaded for the PS5 here. The demo consists of the entirety of Chapter 1, and the first acts of Chapter 4 and Chapter 6.

The game also features a local co-op mode. Two players can explore the game as the stars of the show – Leo and Emma, combining abilities from different costumes to access new paths that are unavailable in solo play.

Players will also be eligible for a bonus gift on PS4/PS5. The gift is the Blue Launcher costume, which can be unlocked by playing the demo and purchasing the full game on the same PSN account.

Balan Wonderworld will be available on the PS4, as well as on PC (via Steam), PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on March 26.
