LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga: How to Unlock the Death Star

Capital Ships are large military ships designed for deep-space warfare. 

In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, there are five Capital Ships that players can take control of. These include the Death Star, Death Star 2, Executor, Steadfast, and Trade Federation Battleship. 

In this guide, we will discuss how you can unlock the Death Star. 

How to Unlock the Death Star in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

This Capital Ship is available for purchase after completing a side mission called Operation: Stardust. 

It is important to note that you can only take the side mission if you: 

  • Have completed Episode IV: A New Hope. 
  • Visit Coruscant through the Story Missions in Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Once the requirements are met, follow the steps to start and complete Operation: Stardust. 

Step 1: Talk to the Rebel Engineer at the Great Temple on Yavin 4. 

The Rebel Engineer can be found on the east side of the Great Temple’s second floor. He will tell you that the Empire has the plans for the Death Star and that it is kept in the office of Grand Moff Tarkin in the Federal District on Coruscant. 

Step 2: Head to Coruscant’s Federal District and talk to an Irate Imperial at the Coruscant Senate Building.

You can find this imperial by taking a Taxi to the Coruscant Senate Building, going up the stairs of the said building, and turning right to the far end. The Irate Imperial will tell you that Grand Moff Tarkin will be outraged as someone has stolen the Death Star Plans from the “Grand Moffice” and will ask you to retrieve them. 

Step 3: Talk to a green Rodian at the bottom of the steps east of the Western Fountain. 

The Rodian will accidentally expose himself as the thief and try to run away. You’ll have to chase him up two flights of stairs until he retreats into an AT-ST.

Step 4: Defeat the AT-ST.

During this fight, you may use Force users that can pick up containers from the battlefield and hurl them towards the enemy. 

Step 5: Once the AT-ST is defeated, talk to the thief. 

At this point, the thief will give you the Death Star Plans. 

Step 6: Talk to the Rebel Engineer at the Great Temple again. 

You may open your Holoprojector Map to return to the Great Temple on Yavin 4. By talking to the Rebel Engineer, you will finally be able to unlock the Death Star. 

The Death Star costs 5,000,000 Studs, so if you don’t have enough to buy it yet, you will still be able to via the Ships tab on the Holoprojector Menu.
