Splitgate daily challenges occasionally include using and go through enemy portals, so how can you tell which you can use?

How to use and go through an Enemy Portal in Splitgate

If you’ve got the Splitgate daily challenge to go through enemy portals and struggled with it, there are a few little things you can note to do it safely.

One key thing is that you can use the same enemy portal 5 times to complete this Splitgate daily. It makes it a lot easier, as it comes down to just locating a single working enemy portal and walking back and forth through it for about 3 seconds.

Of course, that doesn’t help you if you don’t know which enemy portals you can and can’t use. To help out with that, check out the portal shown above. Red portals like this with a fully coloured outline are linked to another portal and can be used.

With this type of portal, your crosshair will also show red if there’s an enemy where you’re looking on the other side, so you can use them to get kills through portals as well.

If the Portal has more of a whitish outline as shown here, then it is not connected to another and is effectively a solid wall for the moment that is useless to you. You’re best off either closing these, or keeping an eye on them in case they’re linked up to another one and suddenly become viable to go through for the Splitgate daily challenge.

To destroy a portal if you don’t intend to wait for it to open, you just need to use the anti-portal grenades that you always spawn with.

Try to bear in that mind that the enemy team can shoot you through portals, and close both their own portals at will each just like you.

If you want to do the challenge quickly, you’re best finding a portal that’s been temporarily forgotten about it and side stepping back and forth into it so that the entire challenge only takes a matter of seconds.
