The new addition to the global hit franchise, Pokémon from Nintendo Switch, is shaping up to be a new adventure for trainers, both new and old. How does this affect our consoles, though?

Nintendo’s eShop has confirmed that Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will require at least 10 GB of space. If you’re wondering how this compares to their previous releases in Nintendo Switch, here’s what that looks like:

  • Let’s Go, Pikachu! And Let’s Go, Eevee! (4.1GB)
  • Sword And Shield (12.4GB)
  • Legends: Arceus (6GB)
  • Scarlet And Violet (10GB)

Comparably bigger in size than Legends: Arceus, both Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet promise not only the addition of new Pokémon for our Pokédex but an exciting new map as trainers get to experience the majestic island of the Paldea region. According to the latest update from the Pokémon website, Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet will be a much-awaited open-world RPG that will let their trainers be a student in a prestigious academy for the budding Pokémon Champion.

There are plenty of quests and side quests to complete, including a Treasure Hunt, your discovery of the regional form of Wooper in the Paldea region, and the ultimate trainers’ challenge, choosing your starter. There’s Sprigatito, the Grass Cat Pokémon; Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon; and Quaxly, the Duckling Pokémon.
