Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour: How to Catch Shiny Voltorb

Pokemon Go holds spotlight hours on a regular weekly basis and the upcoming one is an excellent chance to potentially obtain yourself a Shiny Voltorb.

Even if you’re not interested in shiny hunting, the event has an excellent additional bonus and this’ll be a good chance to get a lot of Voltorb candies.

When is the spotlight day?

The spotlight hour for Voltorb will be taking place on the 16th of March at 6:00 PM local time and ends one hour later at 7:00 PM local time, the usual for spotlight hours.

What can we expect?

Like every other spotlight hour, this event will be pretty simple. You’ll be seeing a hell of a lot of Voltorb for one hour, that’s about it.

These hours are great events if you like the Pokemon featured, otherwise these are just chances to take advantage of the bonus offered alongside the spawns.

Speaking of which, this event will feature a special bonus of doubled catch stardust. So if you’re low on stardust (Aren’t we all? Permanently..?) this could be a good chance to stock some up.

Does this event have anything else?

Outside of the doubled catch stardust (which is seriously incredible as a bonus) and the chance to catch a lot of Voltorb, not really.

Spotlight hours are pretty focused events, they don’t tend to be very complicated affairs.
