Marvel reveals release date and trailer for “What If…?” series

Marvel has now released a trailer and the release date for its new series “What If…?” It’s been a big year for Marvel’s television shows, as we have already seen the release of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki in 2021. However, they aren’t done just yet. This brand new animated series has received a brand new trailer to go along with the news of its official release date.

Marvel has revealed that this new series will be dropping on Disney+ on August 11th. Unlike the current roster of Marvel Cinematic Universe television shows, this series will be animated as opposed to live action.

The show will display how things would have played out had major moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe gone differently. The series will contain 10 episodes, set to be released weekly, and will be considered a part of the Universe’s Phase 4.

Marvel What If Trailer

In addition to the announcement of the August 11 release date, Marvel also supplied a trailer for their upcoming series. A lot of beloved Marvel characters make appearances in the trailer, such as Tony Stark, Dr. Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy and more.

Perhaps most notably, the late Chadwick Boseman’s voice is featured in the trailer, as this will be the last time we see him as King T’Challa. Check it out here:
