League of Legends Akshan

Riot Games officially revealed everything about his latest addition, League of Legends new champion Akshan. We were able to try it in the PBE (Public Beta Environment), and it is fun to play with, but also a nightmare to play against. We will show you everything you need to know about him.

For one, he’s a marksman assassin, a niche not filled by anyone else in the game aside from Quinn. Additionally, he has a grappling hook that he can use to close gaps and position himself. But most contentious of all, he has the new ability to bring his teammates back from the dead.

In the lore, Akshan will be part of the sentinels who band together to fight against the undead and the coming Ruination. Totally outside the lore, he’ll get a Cyber Pop skin in his release.

This League of Legends new champion Akshan is going to be special, being the first one with the ability to revive allies changes the whole perspective and meta of the game in the near future, now there will always be uncertainty whenever he is in the rift.

Akshan Abilities in League of Legends

Passive – Dirty Fighting
  • After every three hits, Akshan earns a burst of physical damage (abilities included). If the target is a champion, he also gains a shield.
  • After attacking, Akshan fires a second attack with a reduced physical damage, but he can cancel this second attack, and if so, he receives a burst of move speed.
Q – Avengerang
  • Akshan throws a boomerang that deals physical damage and reveals enemies hit. Also, its range increases with every hit. This boomerang can hit two times each enemy, once when it goes out and once as it returns, very similar to Sivir’s W – Boomerang Blade.
W – Going Rogue
  • Passive: When an enemy kills one of Akshan’s allies, they are marked as Scoundrels. If Akshan gets a takedown on one of these Scoundrels, all allies killed by the Scoundrel are resurrected at their base. Also, Akshan gains bonus gold with theses takedowns.
  • Active: Akshan becomes invisible for a short duration, or indefinitely if he is near terrain. During this time, Akshan can see trails leading towards Scoundrels and gains move speed and mana regeneration while hunting them.
E – Heroic Swing
  • Akshan fires a hookshot that embeds in the first terrain hit. While embedded, he can recast to swing around the terrain in the cast direction, firing physical damage bullets at the nearest enemy while swinging. While swinging, he can recast again to jump off in the direction of the cursor and fire a final shot.
  • Heroic Swing’s cooldown resets when Akshan earns a takedown on an enemy champion.
R – Comeuppance
  • Akshan locks onto an enemy champion and begins channelling power into his gun to store bullets. At the end of the duration or after recasting Akshan unleashes the stored bullets, each dealing physical damage based on missing health to the first minion, champion, or structure hit.
  • Akshan can move normally and cast Heroic Swing while channelling and firing Comeuppance.

As you may well see, this champion has a huge variety of abilities, which are probably not easy to manage for beginners, but we strongly believe that once you control them, Akshan will be unstoppable.

On a tip note, we noticed that his passive Dirty Fighting also works while hitting enemies structures, which makes Akshan a little bit more overpowered.

Akshan will be arriving on League of Legends own Summoners Rift on July 22, with the Patch 11.15, so get ready, you will surely be seeing a lot of him in your games.
