Last Updated on: 29th July 2022, 02:02 am
Up for some challenge? With the Hidden Strife event in Genshin Impact, you can go all out in defeating strong enemies within a limited time. You can get awesome rewards, too!
However, you can’t just mindlessly beat them up. You also need to meet some requirements to get buffs and spawn “Powerful Opponents.”
In this article, we’ll tell you everything that you need to know about the Hidden Strife event, including how you can unlock it, how to play it, its stages, and rewards!
How to unlock the Hidden Strife event
To unlock the event, you must have already :
- reached at least Adventure Rank 25
- completed Prologue: Act 3 Archon Quest
- completed Diluc’s Story Quest
If you have already met the basic requirements, you can go to the Events Page in the Paimon Menu, check Hidden Strife, and choose “Go to Quest.” Doing so will take you to a quest called “Phantom of the Past.”
To complete this quest, you simply have to do the following:
- Go to the Dawn Winery.
- Talk to Adelinde.
- Go to the Falcon Coast.
- “Investigate” the Abnormal Ley Line Deposit.
After completing this quest, you will finally be able to take the Hidden Strife challenges by interacting with the Ley Line deposit in the Falcon Coast.
How to play the Hidden Strife event
Hidden Strife has seven (7) stages in total. From the start of the event, one stage will unlock every day for seven days. Basically, you need to complete these challenges, including each stages’ different difficulty levels, to get rewards. These stages are:
DAY | STAGE | UNLOCK DATE |
1 | Fearsome Judgment | July 27, 2022 |
2 | Searing Skies | July 28, 2022 |
3 | Blazing Thunder | July 29, 2022 |
4 | Scatter, Flaming Feathers | July 30, 2022 |
5 | Puissant Calibre | July 31, 2022 |
6 | Arch-Tempered Sword | August 1, 2022 |
7 | The Other Molten Quadrant | August 2, 2022 |
Take note that each stage has a Ley Line Residue that will give you more information about the challenge. An example is below:
Moreover, there are two types of challenges: Vicious Battle and Dire Straits.
VICIOUS BATTLE
Vicious Battle features three difficulty levels: Perilous, Quandary, and Desperate.
It is important to note that while you can choose the difficulty for each stage, you can get different rewards per difficulty. If you don’t want to challenge all three difficulty types but want to claim all rewards, you can take the shortcut and complete “Desperate” first. By completing a challenge on a higher difficulty setting, you can also claim the rewards for the difficulty below it.
DIRE STRAITS
You can only challenge Dire Straits if you have completed the ”Desperate” Difficulty in Vicious Battle. This means that this is the most difficult level for each stage.
TIPS ON COMPLETING CHALLENGES
To complete the challenges, you must be mindful of the Ley Line Residue that we have previously mentioned. You must also take note of the Challenge Targets on the left side of the screen. For example, below is a screenshot from Fearsome Judgment (Dire Straits difficulty).
Apart from the time limit and the Powerful Opponents that you need to defeat, you are also required to use Elemental Burst 6 times.
In this stage, doing so will give you the buff called Afterimaged Might which will also spawn the Powerful Opponents that you need to defeat.
Another thing that you need to take note of is that the Dire Straits challenge has enemies with high HP and can be compared in strength with those in the Spiral Abyss. There are waves where you need to defeat weaker enemies first or else the Powerful Opponent’s HP will regenerate.
Hidden Strife rewards
If you complete all stages and all difficulty levels, you can obtain the total rewards below:
- Primogem x420
- Mora x160,000
- Hero’s Wit x16
- Mystic Enhancement Ore x34
- Debris of Decarabian’s City x6
- Boreal Wolf’s Cracked Tooth x6
- Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator x6
Those are pretty decent rewards if you ask me, so don’t forget to check this event out!
