In Genshin Impact, each and every individual character has a set birthday, this includes the player character, the Traveler – When this date comes around, you’ll receive a mail in your inbox complete with a message in that characters style and some items relevant to them.
Though this raises the question of what happens on the Travelers Birthday in Genshin Impact, as it’d be difficult to encapsulate a character that is meant to reach across the entire player base.
Often these items are things like crafting items and their unique version of a food item. The Traveler gets a bit of a different experience for their birthdate, as they can’t send themselves a nice message to recieve after all.

The Travelers Birthday in Genshin Impact
The birthday of the Traveler in Genshin Impact will depend on what date you set to be their birthday; it is entirely player determined. The reward, however, is the same for each player regardless of what stage of the game they’re at or what date they set it to.
When the Travelers Birthday is reached in Genshin Impact, you’ll receive a message from the mailing system itself, including a single “Cake For Traveler” item, alongside a “Fragile resin” consumable item.

This cake from the Travelers Birthday is actually among the rarest items in the game, given you’d need to have been playing at least a year to have more than one of them, and Genshin Impact has only been out since the 28th of September 2020 – meaning no one should currently have more than one of them.

Not in particular, Genshin birthdays are quite simple in all honesty, though the Travelers birthday is a bit of a curiosity for many players who set it to their own birthdate and haven’t yet had a chance to experience the in-game effects of their choice.
