Genshin Impact Kuki Shinobu Build Guide: Weapons, Artifacts Sets, Talents and Constellations

This guide features Kuki Shinobu, the 4-star Electro Sword character in Genshin Impact introduced during the version 2.7 second banner.
She’s the Arataki Gang Deputy Leader and the most reliable person on the team, which means being the one left behind to clean the mess Itto and the others make.
Kuki Shinobu has an interesting HP-related mechanic, and in this guide we’ll show her passives, talents, constellations, suggested weapons and artifact sets.

| Normal Attack – Shinobu’s Shadowsword | Normal Attack Perform up to 4 rapid strikes. Charged Attack Consumes a certain amount of Stamina to unleash 2 rapid sword strikes. Plunging Attack Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, damaging opponents along the path and dealing AoE DMG upon impact. |
| Elemental Skill – Sanctifying Ring | Creates a Grass Ring of Sanctification at the cost of part of her HP, dealing Electro DMG to nearby opponents. Grass Ring of Sanctification Follows your current active character around. Deals Electro DMG to nearby opponents every 1.5s and restores HP for active character(s) within the ring’s AoE based on Kuki Shinobu’s Max HP. The HP consumption from using this skill can only bring her to 20% HP. |
| Elemental Burst: – Gyoei Narukami Kariyama Rite | Stabs an evil-excoriating blade into the ground, creating a field that cleanses the area of all that is foul, dealing continuous Electro DMG to opponents within its AoE based on Shinobu’s Max HP. If Shinobu’s HP is less than or equal to 50% when this skill is used, the field will last longer. |
| Ascension Talent – Breaking Free | When Shinobu’s HP is not higher than 50%, her Healing Bonus is increased by 15%. |

Her mechanics are similar to Hu Tao, in which she gets stronger as she loses HP with her Elemental Skill helping to do so. She’s best played as a healer that enables Electro reactions, built with HP but with some space for Elemental Mastery.
For leveling order, focus Skill > Burst > Normal Attack.
Constellations
| 1 – To Cloister Compassion | Gyoei Narukami Kariyama Rite‘s AoE is increased by 50%. |
| 2 – To Forsake Fortune | Grass Ring of Sanctification‘s duration is increased by 3s. |
| 3 – To Sequester Sorrow | Increases the Level of Sanctifying Ring by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| 4 – To Sever Sealing | When the Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks of the character affected by Shinobu’s Grass Ring of Sanctification hit opponents, a Thundergrass Mark will land on the opponent’s position and deal AoE Electro DMG based on 9.7% of Shinobu’s Max HP. This effect can occur once every 5s. |
| 5 – To Cease Courtesies | Increases the Level of Gyoei Narukami Kariyama Rite by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| 6 – To Ward Weakness | When Kuki Shinobu takes lethal DMG, this instance of DMG will not take her down. This effect will automatically trigger when her HP reaches 1 and will trigger once every 60s. When Shinobu’s HP drops below 25%, she will gain 150 Elemental Mastery for 15s. This effect will trigger once every 60s. |
C2 is the most important, but she can work just as well from C0.
Recommended weapons for Kuki Shinobu

Favonius Sword has the highest ER for any sword in the game (even higher than Skyward Blade), and since her effective Skill cooldown is almost nonexistent, Sacrificial Sword is not needed. Any other ER% weapon can do the work if Favonius is not available.
Recommended Artifact Sets

Her overall healing is not as big as Kokomi or Qiqi, so while Ocean-Hued Clam is usable, it is not as great for Kuki Shinobu, thus being omitted in this guide. Millelith + any 15% Bonus Healing set is also an option.
Desired stats
- Circlet: Healing Bonus% > HP% > EM
- Sands: HP% > EM > ER%
- Goblet: HP% > EM > Electro%
- Substats are HP% > HP > EM > ER%
For substats, prioritize HP over Elemental Mastery, as it’s her stronger scaling.
Synergies
As previously mentioned in this guide, Kuki Shinobu is great for creating elemental reactions, and her elemental is the main reason people would choose her over other healers.
She can easily proc Superconduct, being a good pair for Eula, Rosaria, and physical build Kaeya. Access to Electro-Charged makes her good with Tartaglia, Ayato, and Yelan. If you’re interested in an Overload team, she’s good with Yanfei, Klee, and Sucrose.
