Genshin Impact: Is Rust the Best 4-Star Bow for Yoimiya?

As the release date of Genshin impact’s upcoming version 2.0, as well as the debut of its new characters Yoimiya, Ayaka, and Sayu, gets closer and closer, players are already gearing up for their arrival, saving Primogems for both the characters and their featured weapons. 

But since not all players have the resources, or the luck, of pulling both a featured character and its featured weapon, the game offers a wide arrange of 4-star weapons that can fit the new characters like a glove. 

With that said, for Yoimiya, the game’s upcoming 5-star Pyro bow wielder, the 4-star bow Rust seems to be ideal. But it’s the bow really the best fit among the 4-stars for Yoimiya?

Rust: Pros and Cons 

According to the leaks, present in Honey impact, as well as revealed by various sources, Yoimiya will be a character-focused on dealing high elemental damage, by enhancing her normal attacks with her Elemental Skill ”Teika fire Dance”, which coats her attacks in Pyro, making them deal Elemental Damage.

With that said, taking into account that she has in her Elemental Skill her biggest source of damage, the use of the Rust bow may be a match made in heaven, since it offers, at zero refinement, a 40% increase in normal ATK damage, even if at a cost of 10% charged ATK damage.

But that’s not all, since, thanks to its ATK% sub-stat, the bow can shorten the distance between its ATK and those of the game’s 5-star weapons.

On the other side, the weapon doesn’t offer an increase in CRIT Rate or Damage, which proves to be a disadvantage when compared to other 4-star picks, like the ”Viridescent Hunt” or the ”Blackcliff Warbow”, even if the two possess a lower overall ATK, and passives that do not work well with her set.

Thankfully, a well-picked artifact selection can eliminate the problem entirely, even more so thanks to her innate CRIT Rate ascension star, which will let you focus on Crit Damage as a sub-stat.

Is Rust the Best 4-Star Bow for Yoimiya?

In the end, taking into account factors similar to why the bow is the best 4-star weapon for Tartaglia (Childe), the Rust Bow is, in our opinion, the best 4-star bow for Yoimiya, thanks to its increase in normal attack damage, a perfect fit for her kit, and high base attack, with a total of 510 at level 90, which is one of highest totals among 4-star bows.

According to known leaker Lumie, Yoimiya will be the star of the second featured banner of version 2.0, which will be released on August 10.

Genshin Impact is currently available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, mobile devices – Android and iOS – and for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher and, since June 9th, in the Epic Games Store. A version of the game for the Nintendo Switch is also reportedly in development.
