Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is now out on all platforms, and the Battle Pass in this brand-new season surely has a lot to offer.

But one Epic outfit sub-variant, in particular, has caught the attention of Fortnite and Genshin Impact fans alike.

With three selectable styles (the default one, Cerulean, and Silvan), fans can’t help but point out that Fortnite’s Erisa Silvan skin looks a lot like Venti, a playable Anemo character in Genshin Impact, and think that the latter must have been an inspiration.

But is it?

As an anime-style gacha game, it’s important to note that Genshin Impact characters, like other anime characters, have stereotyped design and personality traits based on those that are already popular.

In other words, Venti’s style or any other character’s style in the game wasn’t invented by Genshin Impact but was rather inspired by other characters of its kind.

For instance, the style and color scheme of the Erisa Silvan skin can be likened to forest elves in pop culture. And while Fortnite’s Erisa Silvan skin and Genshin Impact’s Venti may have similarities, this does not mean that Fortnite is plagiarizing Venti.

Did Fortnite’s Erisa Silvan take inspiration from Genshin Impact?

It’s safe to say that Fortnite took inspiration from the stereotype but not necessarily directly from Genshin Impact.

This isn’t the first time that Fortnite released an anime-style skin. Lexa was the first anime-style skin and the release of this kind of skin certainly did not stop there. It can be recalled that Fornite also had a collaboration with the anime Naruto and released a Naruto Epic Outfit.
