The next Fortnite FNCS tournament is scheduled to kick off this weekend, putting the best trios in the world together to battle it out to see who will be crowned the greatest.

But it looks like we’re going to have to wait a little bit longer before we can see our favourite pros in action as it has been delayed.

Fortnite Competitive’s official Twitter account broke the news saying,

“We have discovered a bug in the v15.30 update that is preventing some players from being able to queue into tournaments. To ensure all eligible players have the opportunity to compete, we are shifting each FNCS Qualifier back one week.”

This will mean the start of the FNCS tournament will be February 11th. Fans and players did question whether that means the tournament will run to March 21st or not, rather than its original end date of March 14th.

MonsterDface, one of Epic Games’ Fortnite casters took to Twitter to clarify things, stating the end date will be March 14th, and instead won’t have a week break in between qualifiers and the finals, saying,

“The FNCS heats / grands dates will NOT be changing. The week “break” between the last week qualifier and heats might just run straight through. Unfortunate – This delays a lot for some of our plans we’ll be keeping a close eye on how this all plays out.”

As much as it sucks to not be able to watch for another week, it gives the pro players another week to finalize their teams and get as much practice in as possible, which hopefully should make the tournament even more exciting.

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 FNCS will be a Trios tournament and will run from February 11th-March 14th.
