The Fortnite Icon series has seen many influencers and celebrities across all forms of entertainment come to the game, including the likes of Ninja, Marshmello, and Travis Scott, as well as emotes featuring music from artists such as Drake, Psy, and BTS.

It is always exciting when a new Icon series skin or emote comes to the Item Shop, and it looks like Epic Games is gearing up for their next one and it will feature non-other than NBA legend LeBron James and he could be coming to the game as early as this week along with the 17.20 update.

LeBron James Coming To Fortnite

Prominent Fortnite leakers HYPEX and Shiina have revealed that NBA legend LeBron James will be coming to Fortnite as part of the 17.20 update.

In a tweet, HYPEX revealed what we can expect from the skin, as well as challenges and other items we could see.

“LeBron James skin is coming next update! – Earn rewards by completing King’s Bling quests – Items become more gold as you complete quests! Unlock a custom goldness slider when all quests are complete!”

It has been rumoured for a long time that LeBron James could be coming to the game, along with other celebrities such as The Rock and Lady Gaga.

Recently we saw Epic Games take of Apple in a lawsuit, which is still ongoing, and during the court hearing, it was revealed that many collaborations were planned including the one with LeBron James. As the time had passed where he was planned to come to the game, many assumed the deal had been cancelled, but it appears that it is still going ahead.

The 17.20 update is expected to go live on Tuesday, July 6th, meaning we could see him come to the game as early as tomorrow, but it will likely be in the days following the update.

As of right now, we don’t know what he will look like, but we can expect to see his skin revealed along with a trailer once the official announcement is made.
