Fortnite Distance Travelled Through Sand Guide – Week 15 Challenges

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 is just a week from ending, with Season 6 right around the corner, with the Zero Crisis Finale event announced earlier this week.
But before it ends, there is still one week worth of challenges still to complete to get the last few levels for the Battle Pass.
Here is how to complete Distance travelled through sand from the Week 15 challenges.
Distance Travelled Through Sand
Sand tunnelling is a new mechanic that was added in Season 5. To complete this, players need to travel a total of 500 metres through the sand.
The centre of the Fortnite map is covered by sand, and by standing still for a few seconds, players will sink into it and can now move around underground.
Overall this should be a very easy to challenge to complete, but you will be in the middle of the map so will likely encounter some players while trying to get it done.
But this should just complete over time through regularly playing the game.
Release Date
Fortnite challenges go live every Thursday at 9am EST/2pm GMT, so expect the week 15 challenges to go live on March 11th at 9am EST/2pm GMT.
Week 15 Epic Quests
The challenges this week are:
- Distance travelled through sand (500)
- Spend 5 seconds within 20 meters of enemies while sand tunnelling (5)
- Spend Bars (500)
- Purchase Item from a Character (1)
- Upgrade a weapon (1)
- Get Intel from a Character (1)
- Hire a Character (1)
Each Epic Quest is worth 40,000 XP, granting 280,000 XP in total, around 3 levels worth of XP.

Week 15 Legendary Quest
The Legendary Quest this week is:
- Duel Characters (5/10/15/20/25)
The first stage of the challenge is worth 55,000 XP, the following 4 are worth 22,000 XP each, giving a total of 143,000 XP for completing the Legendary Quest.
But be fast, Legendary Quests are only around until the next set of challenges go live and then they are gone forever.
