Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is just around the corner, and the official Fortnite twitter account has just released some details regarding the downtime to implement the upcoming patch.

According to the announcement, the version 16.00 patch down time will begin at 12:00 AM ET (04:00 UTC).

Additionally, the announcement was followed up with the following details.

During downtime, patch rollout times will vary per platform, but downtime for ALL platforms will end at the same time.

With the launch of the new Season, please note that patch sizes will be larger than normal on all platforms.

As is customary with season transitions, the upcoming patch will be a sizeable one, albeit with a more substantial rumored downtime compared to previous patches. Players on PlayStation will have to plan around the additional copying phase of the update.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 details

The next segment in the Fortnite meta verse lore dubbed “Zero Crisis” has a story cinematic trailer set to premiere on YouTube on March 16th.

Said to be the explosive conclusion of the events of Season 5, players will play through the culmination of Agent Jones’ mission in the Zero Crisis Finale. According to the developers, this is a solo experience that can be played through whenever players first log in during the Season.

Agent Jones, voiced by Troy Baker, is fighting for the very existence of reality as they know it. With references to “The Seven”, and their ties to the Zero Point, it is safe to assume they will be involved in the upcoming event
