Call of Duty Vanguard is finally here and that means there are tonnes of new weapons to check out. The STG44 is an Assault Rifle a lot of Call of Duty fans will be familiar with, but how does it perform in Sledgehammer Games’ newest entry into the series? Here’s everything you need to know about the STG44 and the best STG44 loadout and class build for Vanguard’s multiplayer.

Vanguard’s STG44 – Assault Rifle

In Call of Duty Vanguard, the STG44 is going to be your best friend early on. It’s one of the first Assault Rifles you have access too and this means, whether you like it or not, you’re going to have to use it at some point. Thankfully, there’s no reason for you not to like it.

It doesn’t do the most damage and it isn’t the fastest Assault Rifle on offer, but it has a fantastic balance that makes it a suitable choice for most of Vanguard’s multiplayer maps. When you combine this with the fact that you can add a total of ten attachments to any Assault Rifle in Vanguard, you’ve got yourself a fantastic weapon.

We know this isn’t going to be the best choice for a smaller map with a run-and-gun playstyle, but here’s the best STG44 loadout that leans into its natural strengths – and manages its weaknesses.
