Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates have finally been confirmed by Epic Games. The Weekly Gold Outfit is the rarest bonus Treasure, at 1 in 1,562,500 per Chest in a normal match. Pirate Shop Access is next at 1 in 137,500. Those figures came from Fortnite Status on November 7, 2026, after a week of rumours and wildly different guesses.
There are seven published reward categories in all. Epic says their normal odds have stayed constant since the Treasure Hunters launch on November 1, except during announced Treasure Hours. The numbers tell us how unlikely each category is, but they don’t establish that a particular Chest, island location or favourite Outfit can magically improve your luck.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates: Official full table
Here are all seven Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates, ordered from rarest to most common. The percentages are derived from Epic’s published fractions, and rounded to make the comparison easier.
| Reward category | Normal Chest chance | Approx. percentage |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly Gold Outfit | 1 in 1,562,500 | 0.000064% |
| Pirate Shop Access | 1 in 137,500 | 0.000727% |
| Weekly Vehicle and Decal | 1 in 7,813 | 0.01280% |
| Weekly Pickaxe or Back Bling | 1 in 568 | 0.1761% |
| Weekly Jam Track | 1 in 391 | 0.2558% |
| Weekly Loading Screen | 1 in 272 | 0.3676% |
| Any Gizmo | 1 in 127 | 0.7874% |
The labels matter. Epic presents Weekly Vehicle and Decal as one category, and Weekly Pickaxe or Back Bling as another. They aren’t seven chances that must add up to 100%, and the statement doesn’t confirm that all seven reward outcomes are mutually exclusive on a single Chest opening. Don’t turn a list of drop fractions into a made-up complete loot table.
Why the Weekly Gold Outfit is rarer than Pirate Shop Access
Anyone who followed the Pirate Shop Access panic might expect the token to be the rarest prize. It isn’t. On the official Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates list, the Weekly Gold Outfit is more than eleven times less likely to appear in an ordinary Chest than the Pirate Shop reward. That makes it a spectacularly rare cosmetic.
The word weekly is important, too. The reward category rotates, so the odds alone don’t prove that a specific outfit from Week 1 is available in Week 2. Check the actual Treasure tab before treating a datamined item name as a current reward. Our Week 2 rewards guide covers the separately reported cosmetic names and what remains unconfirmed.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates for Pirate Shop Access
The published token odds are 1 in 137,500 per Chest, which is approximately 0.000727%. The Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates announcement replaces old claims that Pirate Shop Access was one in 700,000 or had been removed from the game. Epic also says the regular rates haven’t changed since the November 1 launch.
But 1 in 137,500 is not a guarantee. In a simplified model where each qualifying opening is an independent attempt, 137,500 Chests would give only about a 63.2% probability of receiving at least one token. Epic hasn’t confirmed that every special or refilled Chest creates an independent eligible Treasure roll. For the full maths and caveats, read our Pirate Shop drop-rate guide. To check a specific Chest count for yourself, we’ve also built a Pirate Shop Token odds calculator for the same official drop rates.
Did Treasure Hours boost Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates?
Yes, and the boosts are quite specific. The first November 7 Treasure Hours, 7pm to 9pm GMT, raised Pirate Shop Access odds by 1.5x, the Gold Outfit by 7.5x, and the Weekly Vehicle and Decal by 10x. In the second session, from 2am to 4am GMT on Sunday November 8, Pirate Shop Access received a 2x boost and the Gold Outfit received 10x.
| Reward | First Nov 7 session | Second Nov 7/8 session |
|---|---|---|
| Pirate Shop Access | About 1 in 91,667 | 1 in 68,750 |
| Weekly Gold Outfit | About 1 in 208,333 | 1 in 156,250 |
| Weekly Vehicle and Decal | About 1 in 781 | No separate multiplier specified |
These were historical, limited-time multipliers. They are not the permanent Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates, and Epic has not guaranteed the next Treasure Hours will use the same numbers. It’s also wrong to assume every reward category received a boost just because three were specifically mentioned. Our Treasure Hours November 7 guide has both completed sessions and worldwide start times.

Can you get the same Treasure reward twice?
Epic says the same Treasure cannot be received twice, except Gizmos. Gizmos are the repeatable exception, rather than permanent Locker cosmetics or repeated copies of Pirate Shop Access. That’s another reason to avoid treating the Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates as a promise of unlimited chances to farm identical items.
The figures describe reward categories, not a full guarantee about which individual named item the game offers this week. A prize rotating out, an account already owning an item, and the way the server selects eligible openings all need separate proof before making a specific claim.
Do certain Chest types or Squads have better odds?
Epic’s public rate table doesn’t give separate percentages for normal Chests, Rare Chests, Sprite Chests, buried Chests or repeatedly refilled Chests. A screenshot of a winning Rare Chest doesn’t prove it has a higher chance. The Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates should be quoted as Epic published them, without inventing a special-container bonus.
Playing in a Squad can let more people open Chests in less time. That adds potential attempts, not a higher probability on each individual opening. Our Pirate Shop squad rewards guide explains the distinct question of who gets a prize when a teammate finds access.
The best way to use these official odds
If you’re hunting permanent cosmetics, use the current Treasure reward screen to check what can actually appear. For item categories and previous weekly lists, visit our Treasure Hunt Chest rewards guide. If it’s Pirate Shop Access you’re chasing, our farming routes compare routes around Arlong Park, The Chest and Plunder Port without claiming any of them alters the Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates.
Ultimately, the Fortnite Treasure Hunters chest drop rates tell a very simple story: those headline cosmetics are rare, the Pirate Shop token is extremely rare, and even a temporary multiplier cannot guarantee a win. Open Chests while you’re enjoying Fortnite, and don’t trust anyone selling a secret trick to turn random odds into a sure thing.
