Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns: How to Get Them, Stats and October 6 Nerf

Fortnite Rebecca's Guns

Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns are no longer an upcoming Cyberpunk curiosity. The dual-wielded Assault Rifle and SMG setup is live in Chapter 7 Season 4, has already received one launch buff and has now been pulled back by the October 6 hotfix, which means the useful question is how the weapon actually fits into a current loadout.

The appeal is still obvious. Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns put two firing roles in your hands at once, reward sustained pressure and have special higher-tier variants to chase. What has changed is the amount of free value you get against structures and how safely you can reset after emptying the magazine.

How Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns work

Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns are a dual-wielded Assault Rifle and SMG combination. Epic introduced them in v42.20 and explicitly describes the weapon as a paired AR and SMG setup, with an Exotic version that adds ricocheting bullets.

That mixed identity is the reason the weapon feels different from ordinary Dual Pistols. You are not simply firing two copies of the same sidearm. The setup is built to keep pressure on targets across the sort of short and medium ranges where an AR and SMG normally overlap.

How to get Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns

The standard version of Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns is part of the live Chapter 7 Season 4 weapon picture, while special variants have their own acquisition routes. The Exotic version is the one Epic specifically calls out for ricocheting bullets, and The Click’s dedicated Exotic guide tracks the current Tetris Tower route separately so this page can stay focused on the whole weapon family.

There is also a Mythic route tied to the Cyberpunk content through Adam Smasher. That gives the weapon a useful progression ladder: ordinary access for learning the mechanics, then rarer versions when you want the strongest special behaviour.

What changed when Rebecca’s Guns launched?

Epic adjusted Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns again in the v42.30 Fortnitemares notes. The SMG side received more damage, including at longer ranges, while both the SMG and Assault Rifle received reduced spread and recoil. That made the weapon easier to control and more dependable before the October 6 nerf arrived.

The result was a very forgiving pressure weapon. You could track players more cleanly, keep useful damage at range and still have enough close-range presence to make the dual setup worth carrying.

October 6 nerf to structure damage

The October 6 balance pass greatly reduced the structure damage of Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns. That matters most in Build mode, where the weapon had been doing too much work as both a player-pressure tool and a wall-breaking option.

After the nerf, you should be more willing to swap weapons when an opponent turtles behind fresh builds. Keeping Rebecca’s Guns equipped just because they were previously chewing through structures can waste a magazine and hand the defender an easy timing window.

The reload is slightly slower now

Fortnite Status says the reload on Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns was slightly slowed on October 6. One third-party numerical report currently conflicts with that wording, so the sensible approach is to follow Epic’s direction of change and avoid publishing a disputed reload value as if it were settled.

For actual play, the lesson is simple: do not empty the weapon in the open and assume the reset will bail you out. Reload behind a wall, hard cover or a teammate’s pressure, especially after a long spray where the enemy already knows you are committed.

Are Rebecca’s Guns still good after the nerf?

Yes. Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns are still useful because the October 6 hotfix did not remove the reasons players liked them in the first place. The dual AR and SMG role remains, the earlier accuracy improvements remain relevant, and the weapon can still put steady pressure on exposed opponents.

The nerf mainly asks you to stop treating one item as the answer to every part of a Build fight. Against players, the weapon still has a clear role. Against structures, be more selective.

Best range for Rebecca’s Guns

Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns make the most sense at close to medium range, where the combined weapon identity can stay active without asking you to take precision rifle duels. At very long range, other weapons are easier to control and punish exposure more efficiently.

At point-blank range, a strong shotgun can still end the fight faster than a sustained spray. The sweet spot is where you have enough distance to track, enough cover to manage the reload and enough pressure to stop an opponent freely rotating away.

How the Exotic version changes the weapon

The Exotic version of Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns adds ricocheting bullets. That is not just a coloured-rarity upgrade. Ricochets change how much pressure you can create around cover and make the Exotic worth chasing separately from the normal weapon.

If your only goal is the Exotic, use the dedicated acquisition guide rather than defeating every Cyberpunk encounter on the map. Different versions have different sources, and mixing them together is the fastest way to waste a match.

Best way to use Rebecca’s Guns in Build mode

After the October 6 change, Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns should be the weapon you use when the player is available, not the weapon you mindlessly hold against every wall. Chip structures when it helps, but swap to a better breaking option if the opponent is actively replacing pieces.

Once you create an opening, go back to the dual guns and exploit their sustained pressure. That keeps the weapon doing the job it is still good at instead of fighting directly into the part Epic just nerfed.

Best way to use Rebecca’s Guns in Zero Build

Zero Build is less affected by the structure nerf, so Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns remain a straightforward pressure option there. Prioritise cover discipline, track targets through their movement and reload before you are forced into an exposed reset.

The slightly slower reload matters more in this mode because you cannot instantly create a wall if somebody turns on you. Natural cover and timing are everything.

Should you carry Rebecca’s Guns after October 6?

Fortnite Rebecca’s Guns are still worth carrying if you like flexible pressure weapons and can manage their reload. The October 6 hotfix did not kill them. It narrowed their role and removed some of the easiest structure-breaking value.

That is a better place for the weapon to be. Use it to pressure players, respect the reload, and bring something else when a build fight demands fast structure damage.
