After months of competitions, the World Finals of the Red Bull Campus Clutch has finally concluded as 12 teams of students came together to battle it out in Valorant to take home €20,000 in prize money.

Since the tournament began in January 2021, over 400 events in 50 countries have been held, with over 25,000 players taking part, with the top 12 heading to Madrid, Spain to compete in the finals.

The teams that competed in the finals were from Canada, Peru, Egypt, Belgium, Belarus, New Zealand, Pakistan, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Turkey and North America, truly the definition of a global event.

Egypt Takes Home The Crown

In the end, it was Anubis Gaming from Egypt that won the tournament, winning €20,000 in prize money as well as VIP tickets to the Valorant World Championship.

The final match saw Team Anubis take on Project S as they battled it out across five maps. It did seem that Project S was set to take home the gold by securing a 2-0 lead, but Team Anubis clawed it back, ending the finals with a 3-2 victory.

Speaking on his team’s victory at Red Bull Campus Clutch, Ziyad “zizox” ElSawaaf said,

“We should never give up. We are competing as a team. Even if someone is down, the other will bring him up. It’s not just us five, but we’ve got the support of our managers, our coaches, our sub players, we are here like a family. We should continue focusing on this.”

“Our next focus will be First Strike Arabia. Our focus has been on {Red Bull Campus Clutch} so we will put in more time, more practice. We will prepare ourselves very well for this. This is our main target from now on.” 

Throughout the last year, we have seen Anubis Gaming make a big splash in Tier C and B tournaments, coming first in 6 out of the 9 tournaments they have participated it, they came 2nd in the remaining 3.

This won’t be the last we’ve seen on Anibus as they continue to dominate in the Middle East region.

The Future Of The Red Bull Campus Clutch

Due to the success of the tournament, it has been confirmed that the Red Bull Campus Clutch will make a return in 2022.

As of right now, no official dates have been confirmed, but we can expect the same level of competition as some of the top players in the world will once again battle it out on the global stage.
