Dune Awakening Quest Tracker issues usually come down to one of three things: the wrong quest is tracked, the final NPC interaction hasn’t been completed, or an item needs to be equipped or assembled before the objective counts. You can check all three from the Journey Menu before you give up on the mission.
On PC, press J to open the Journey Menu, select your quest and press T to toggle tracking. The active objective then appears at the top left of the screen with its destination on the compass. These are Funcom’s documented controls, not a workaround that depends on an older patch.
How to fix the Dune Awakening Quest Tracker
- Open the Journey Menu with J on PC, or through the character menu on consoles.
- Find the quest you need: pink for a Journey or blue for a Contract.
- Select the quest and press T in the menu on PC to turn tracking back on.
- Look at the top-left screen for the current objective and the compass for its direction.
- Complete the next listed action, checking the menu again if the marker moves or disappears.

Dune Awakening Quest Tracker objective finished but still active
A finished mission can still need Contact Issuer. That action appears once the required steps are complete and can be accessed from the corresponding quest entry. If a contract was issued by a board or NPC, check whether you’re supposed to return there or contact the issuer from your menu.
If the objective points to an NPC but there is no new dialogue, Funcom suggests revisiting the previous quest NPC, the original location or the next location shown in the journal. This can resolve cases where the story hasn’t registered a prior conversation or trigger. It doesn’t mean you need to delete your save or repeat the full game.
What if the Dune Awakening Quest Tracker reward is missing?
Rewards normally go straight into your backpack. If it was full when you finished, clear some space and reopen the Journey Menu to Claim Reward. That is an intended recovery option, not evidence that you need to restart the mission. Check both your inventory and the claim button before contacting Funcom.
For Dune Awakening Quest Tracker issues involving a crafted object, check the instruction’s last verb. A Fabricate objective may require you to move the new item into your inventory, equip gear or assemble a vehicle. Funcom lists all three as required completion triggers for some contracts.
Why does a crafting or vehicle objective stay incomplete?
Producing a vehicle component at a fabricator is not always the same as finishing the vehicle. If the objective says assemble, finish the assembly. If the task still doesn’t advance, switch to the relevant quest in the menu and inspect its exact wording. Repeatedly crafting the same expensive item is unlikely to help when the missing step is actually equipping or assembling it. Funcom also recommends cancelling and reacquiring a stuck Contract, but that option isn’t the same as restarting a main-story Journey.
Why isn’t a waypoint or quest marker showing?
The Dune Awakening Quest Tracker highlights the active goal on the compass only when that objective is tracked. If you’ve selected something else, the previous marker can disappear. Some objectives also require interaction at a particular NPC, shipwreck or outpost rather than a point visible from anywhere in Hagga Basin.

Quest stuck after a game update?
For Dune Awakening Quest Tracker problems that began after a patch, confirm you’re running the current client and read the patch notes for the affected mission. For example, October 28 hotfix 1.5.15.3 fixed access to the Paranoid after four Chosen were defeated, as well as some Scourge event content failing to load.
Those are documented bug fixes, not general proof that every stuck objective has been repaired. If the quest remains blocked after checking tracking and the required action, report the specific journey name, platform and game version to Funcom rather than trying unverified save-file changes.
