Dune Awakening Contracts: How to Start, Track and Claim Rewards

Dune Awakening 1.5 problems official Dune Awakening artwork

Dune Awakening Contracts are jobs you can pick up from boards at trade posts and from NPCs around Arrakis. They appear with a blue icon, unlike pink story Journeys, and range from deliveries to combat and crafting tasks. Some are single jobs; others lead into longer contract chains.

If you’ve finished an objective but haven’t been paid, open the contract entry and look for Contact Issuer or Claim Reward. Both are part of Funcom’s documented completion system. Here’s where to find contracts, how to track them and what to do when a stage doesn’t register.

Where to find Dune Awakening Contracts

You’ll find Contract Boards at Griffin’s Reach, The Anvil, Pinnacle Station and The Crossroads. Arrakeen and Harko Village also have contracts from NPCs and other sources. The jobs differ between locations and some chains only unlock after earlier stages, so check the board at the place named by your current objective.

Event jobs use the same general contract controls, although they can have separate vendors and rewards. The Scourge walkthrough shows Frida Maltros’s temporary contracts, while ordinary trade-post jobs remain available outside seasonal events.

How to track Dune Awakening Contracts

  1. Open the character’s Journey Menu with J on PC.
  2. Select the blue-icon Contract you want to follow.
  3. Press T while in that menu to enable or disable tracking.
  4. Check the top-left HUD and the compass at the top of the screen for the active goal.
  5. Complete the steps and check whether the job asks you to Contact Issuer afterwards.

Funcom confirms that Dune Awakening Contracts can be tracked one at a time, alongside one Journey. You cannot display two different contracts as your active tracked job. If the wrong objective keeps showing, open the menu, select the correct blue entry and re-enable tracking. Our Quest Tracker guide covers vanished objectives.

Completed but not paidUse Contact Issuer or Claim Reward in the menu

Some Dune Awakening Contracts need a final Contact Issuer action after the work is complete. If the on-screen prompt disappears, open the contract in your Journey Menu and use the available button there. Other jobs ask you to return to a board or talk to an NPC, so always read the final objective before leaving the area.

Rewards normally enter your backpack when the job is finished. If your inventory is full, Funcom says you can claim the reward later from the Journey Menu. Make space before trying again. Reward amounts depend on the specific job, so there is no single fixed payment for every Contract Board.

How to cancel stuck contracts

Dune Awakening Contracts can be cancelled. Funcom lists abandoning and picking up a contract again as a possible way to resolve stuck progression. Before you do that, check the last issuer interaction, the active tracker and whether the job is part of a longer chain. An event contract with a deadline deserves extra care before you abandon its progress.

When an NPC isn’t offering the next conversation, return to the NPC you spoke to previously or try the next location listed in the quest. If an object refuses to register, make sure you’ve completed the actual objective rather than just reaching its map marker. The Scourge not appearing guide addresses event-specific missing content.

Why won’t a Fabricate contract complete?

If Dune Awakening Contracts ask you to Fabricate an item, crafting it may not be enough. Funcom says items may need to be moved into your inventory, gear may need equipping, and vehicles may have to be assembled. Follow the precise instruction in the objective before building a duplicate.

Our Fabricate a Sandbike troubleshooting guide covers a related problem. If the game still doesn’t register a completed step, use the quest tracker to confirm which stage has failed, and contact Funcom Support if the official checks don’t help.

Dune Awakening Contracts: what to check before leaving

Before travelling away, open the contract menu and check whether a Claim Reward or Contact Issuer option remains. For item-delivery jobs, ensure the required cargo is in the correct inventory and has been handed to the specified board or NPC. If you’re collecting Blood Marks in The Scourge, those payouts use a separate event shop.

To keep Dune Awakening Contracts moving, track the right blue-icon job, complete the final hand-in or issuer contact and check your backpack. If the reward couldn’t fit, make space and claim it from the menu. There is no need to abandon a job just because its reward wasn’t delivered immediately.
